Hello,

I hope you are well. I am a researcher from Two Four Broadcast, an award-winning TV production company based in London. We are currently casting for a new series called ‘Taking New York’. It is a brand new constructed reality series set against the backdrop of New York which will start shooting next month.

We’re going to cast a group of ambitious young Brits (aged 19-28) who have taken a leap across the pond to the big apple. We will tell the story of the career highs and lows, loves, break ups and friendships,– all the real-life ingredients that make for the best-loved scripted US dramas. We will follow the lives and loves of these glamorous Brits and they attempt to make their mark in the most ruthless city in the world. Underneath it all, will their shared heritage as Brits abroad means they ultimately look out for each other. Our series is looking to focus on the New York social scene focusing on aspiration and ambition through work and social life.

I am contacting you because I was wondering whether you may be able to put us in touch with any British cyclists that are a part of your cycling club. We would also be very grateful if you could forward the attached flyer to anyone who you may think may be interested in taking part. I would be happy to speak to you about the show further on the phone if you require more information.

Good Afternoon, I am working with Laura Rosenthal Casting on a national network commercial. We are looking to cast a professional or very skilled cycler to play a pro cycler. We are looking for a male, open ethnicity, 30's, extremely fit. " am a casting director working on a major national network on-camera commercial, we are seeking real skilled cyclists in the New York area, hoping you will be able to help us spread the word. We are looking for Men in their 30s-40s. Interested candidates should email jodiangs@gmail.com and kostroy@gmail.com and we will give them an appointment time for an audition. Candidates should not be intimidated by the prospect of auditioning, it is basically just a few seconds of talking about cycling. If chosen, the commercial itself would not require speaking, just cycling. Interested candidates should be available 4/23-4/25 (it would only shoot one day), additionally there are callbacks on 4/17 (most likely in the afternoon).

I went on Monday, not Friday. But I was told there would be callbacks on Thursday. I wasn't feeling very method at the time, so maybe that was reflected in my screen test.

You can make it up to yourself and just have to act like an old man and take the grey jersey for reals on Saturday.

The scenario was really funny.

A "pro" cyclist whizzes past a commuter, who then gets inspired to keep up. When he does, the pro cyclist feels the pressure, and decides he better speed up.

Now...act that out on camera from the sofa in the casting office. Go!

I've been through these silly charades before. In commercial castings, the ad agency is always terrified of making the wrong choice, and they have zero imagination. So you always have to jump through these absurd hoops to mime things in a way that approximates the actual, edited commercial, so they can "see it."

Friend's athletic wear company is looking for a cyclist for a video promo shoot this and/or next week. Wants someone who looks to be in very good shape (in January? Ha!) and can bring their own "pro" looking gear. Filming in Kissena track (possibly other areas).

I am TV producer. I am developing aLocal producer needs 8 standins for Orica this tuedsay at a local Brooklyn pub.

I am developing a show for next year's Tour de France. For this show, we are shooting a dinner scene in Brooklyn on Tuesday, December 20th. I am looking for 8 young male riders who would volunteer for this shoot. I am contacting you in hopes of finding some of these guys. I can offer no money. While I'm flattered for the shout-out, and impressed the name dropping thing actually works with my name, and would be honored to represent Team Kit on a print ad for HIV Medication (what?), I'm a bit older than their requirements (my sense of humor makes me seem younger), and I'm not sure I would pass the test for:

Someone with a keen eye might see through the ruse.

My name is Tom Nisenson and I am a photo producer here in NYC. I sent you guys an email last night, but wanted to follow up via a facebook message. I am looking for real, experienced cyclists with great body types in the NYC Area for an upcoming photo shoot for a pharmaceutical campaign. I was wondering if you guys know any cyclists that would be interested in this? We are looking for men & women age 25-60 years with olive-toned complexion (i.e. Mediterranean, South American, Mixed Race). These cyclists need to be lean and toned and must be able too attend the photo shoot in NYC from May 2-4th (it will only be 2 of those days). This is a paid job that will pay each cyclist $2,000 a day ($4,000 total if we use them for both days).

The photo shoot is for a print Ad for an HIV Medication (the cyclists face will not be recognizable in the ad).The main focus is on the cyclists body.
