There are so many racers and so many plans now that the L&C thread gets a bit overwhelming. We used to have a separate thread for the 123s - I hereby launch it again.

Okay, so, small field tomorrow-i'm thinking this race could be very hard. We don't have the strength to initiate much but we can be savvy and follow wheels. I would say be alert from the get go and our best bet is to just float around in the top 15 or 20 and don't let anything roll away without one of us. Be aware of where your teammates are and who has followed the last move and try to take turns.
If it comes to it I don't mind trying my hand in the sprint. I got a good look at it last week and feel like I would have a fighting chance at a top 10. Just need to be near the front going into the hill. I'm not asking for a lead out or anything like that - frankly I think if we have raced appropriately we won't be anywhere close to having the legs for such a thing.
So, that's a pretty darn simple plan. Anybody think it should be more complicated?

We raced pretty well today with a lot of our regulars missing.
Successes: There were two major moves and we were in both of them, with me in the first and Vlad in the second. Both looked good - mine went after the intermediate sprint and had the green, yellow, and polka dot jerseys in it along with a couple others. Mangoseed was missing though, and they brought it back. We were not working well together - guys were doing 30-45 second pulls.
Vlad's three man group slipped way with 3-4 to go, and when Juan Carlos jumped across they had four and were looking good, but Foundation brought them back. Then Burgos attacked and tried to go for the solo win. Before the downhill not much was happening. I was sitting behind Foundation who didn't appear to be chasing very hard.
Decided to attack and see if I could ride across to Franklin, thinking the NCC-racing Foundation guys might not care much about lil' old me, and figured that if they did lighting things up might set Dave up for the finale. Got reeled in around the bathrooms and Franklin came shortly after.
All together at the base of the hill there were no other Kissenas who looked like they were ready to contest so I muscled my way up the left side on the hill and crested in the top 12 or so, I think - but having just attacked solo for 5 minutes could not match the final acceleration after GAP and got out of the way. I am happy that I am starting to feel comfortable rubbing elbows in the finale. The new finish suits our whole team much better, I think.
But I thought we all rode well. Especially Dave V still getting used to racing post collarbone, and Condon still getting used to the 123s. And it was great to see Vlad active and in the late move.
