Interested in Kickr? We may be able to arrange a bulk order through Redbeard. Please let us know your interest.
I'll make it back in tire savings alone!!!!!
I have one and it rules. It's the future. Get it!
Really, really want one of these as I am in the market for a new trainer.  Just really struggling to see though why I should drop $1k+ on one when I can pick up a rear Powertap and a Nashbar trainer for less, and have the ability to go outside.

Vlad- thoughts?
Kickr is far superior, no question. Super quick to get your bike in and out of. Much more stable that trad trainers due to direct interface with cassette. No more trainer tire or special skewer BS. No more dedicated shitty trainer wheel. No more tire slipping. The thing weighs a zillion pounds so no more unstable rocking when you're crushing. No more having to put your front wheel on a book or stand to properly level the bike. No more... like the NFL commercial. No more.

You get what you pay for you cheap fucks. Powertap and Nashbar will do it, but not as well. Not even close. And don't even think about trying to use all these new internet apps (Zwift, trainer road, etc.) with that setup because you simply can't.

I might be a cheap fuck, but so long as I have ANT+ or Bluetooth transmitters on my bike for speed, I can use Zwift.  It might not be as much fun, but it can be done.
Bluetooth. Ant+ requires a special adapter because computers (incl. smartphones) don't give a shit about Ant+.
^ as far as I can tell Vlad is the "Big Ring Riding" of Kissena.

Missing my point.  Zwift can work with either, so you don't need the Kickr.
My follow up question is how is Zwift capable of picking up Ant+ on a computer? Zwift runs on a computer right? How does that computer recognize Ant+ from your quarq/HR monitor?
I suspect you need an ant + dongle and a UBS cable.
I've used trainer road with and without a power meter plus speed / cadence and a heart rate monitor with the ant+ dongle with good success. No usb cable required. I'll admit that 5-10 years out bluetooth will likely be the wireless protocol of choice. Ubiquity and price will drive that change.
My Samsung Galaxy S4 supports ANT+ as long as you install the ANT+ app/driver.  Problem is that none of the apps that do things you want (like Garmin's) support the ANT+ that the phone has the antenna to support.

Not where I need to spend my 800-900 dollars this/next year. Especially, since my CycleOps trainer is very good and does not need to be replaced. Daddy wants some Zipp race wheels at cost-ish!
I just did a finished a workout on my Kickr and immediately felt compelled to post about how much I love it.

It's that good. No bullshit.
My order is in.
^but Vlad also likes getting his internal organs handed to him in random order at Floyd, so #YMMV

When making equipment decisions you should ask JP, then 3 days later when you finally digested his nuanced thoughts, then you should ask Vlad's id. Put the two together and BAM you will be able to make the perfect decision for you!
Bulk order prices for Wahoo Kickr Trainers from Redbeard

2-4 units: $906.25 plus tax (Cat 1-3 price)
5 + units the discounts go deeper

Please note: out of stock at the moment, expected back in 3/10, plus 1 week to ship to store.

Ask Ilya for Cat 4 pricing — Categories 1, 2, 3, Mentors and juniors receive a “cost + 15%” discount. Cats 4 and 5 receive a “cost +25%” discount.
Ilya mentioned he may have 2-3 people lined up for a group order — need 5 to get that deeper discount. Anyone interested in purchasing please post here. A Kickr for under $900 (Cat 1-3's)!? Allez!

This guy does not use a Kickr
So far we have Mark Taylor and myself up for purchasing a Wahoo Kickr. Would make it a nice deep discount if we have 5. Want to get this going ASAP so we aren't stuck in back-order land like last year.
Fellas,
Wahoo just released the Snap Powertrainer.  It works like the kicker but allows you to use your rear wheel.  Cheaper, not as much resistance (but more than you can manage, it seems), but Whitey will still be burning through tires.
Whitey has a kickr.

I was referring to this.
I'm in for another Kickr. Seriously.
Dualling Kickrs Vlad?
one for the office?
Ian, Vlad, Me, Mark.

One more person and I'll finalize pricing with Redbeard.
Dudes, I was fishing for Kickr orders just a couple weeks ago! Where were you all?
I already placed my order but maybe you can convince them to piggyback it to get the bigger discount.
@Jim I was in Paris.
