Will be fun.
single track is so fun with friends!!

My "Black Friday" ride, started with a plan. Head to the Apple Orchards where I knew there was a do-it-yourself car wash to finally clean off the mud from Supercross.

Just as I had a chance to breath on Sunday, neutral support was packing up his washer and going home (literally). And then I had hopes of hitting the car wash on the way home, but course tear down took, roughly forever (again) and 15 hours after we arrived, and around 9:30pm, Todd made it very clear we would not be stopping until we got home. Fair enough. Plan B.

So today I hustled out to the Orchards, mostly easy pace, solo. Despite, "dry cleaning" the bike, knocking off big chunks etc, my bike was making an absolute racket. Also couldn't pedal backwards. Lovely. A glance down at the watch and realized that my easy pace was going to leave me riding in the dark. And so after I sprayed that bad boy down power wash style, re-lubed the chain, I hustled back home just as quick as I could.

Oh, look freewheel functioning again!

Good times...well, riding in the dark, not so much, but at least the bike is clean and ready to get dirty again.

Jealous though...wish I was ripping around the woods with you guys. That would have be more fun.

it was an awesome day out there riding with Eloy and Scott. Definitely helped my bike handling skills.
Although ,i did get to ride 4 days off amazingly fun trails ,2-3 hours each day out a Northwest woods in East hampton ,still wish i could of hung out in Cunningham with the guys

Dirty Friday this year (Black friday day after thanksgiving)?

I'm happy to do Cunningham, but would be interested in trying some other long island trails.

9-9:30 am

Might be raining in the morning...  :s

What about a Turkey ride on Thursday?

Piermont and back. Nice and slow.
I haven't even pretended to look at a bike in a while, but sure I'll hang with the big dogs. Cunningham it is.

I was planning to do River Rd thursday morning, leaving around 9am from BK. What time were you thinking of?
9:30 at GWB?
9:30 at GWB?
sure!
for the cunningham crew, @James Reeder @Mark Taylor @David Yang forecast is for “light rain” let’s watch this space, if raining hardish we skip the trails for some prospect park laps.

But as of now, we are on for Cunningham 9:30 am (on the cross bike)

Happy thanksgiving!
My app says no more rain
Mark and I are still on 9:30 am — wa can always bail if too wet
i'll be at the trailhead at 9:30!
really fun times and a little bit of slick conditions… a dead car battery got us started about an hour later, which helped us miss the rain…

Super fun times - thanks for organizing Eloy! Been super busy at work and haven't been riding the last few weeks so this was a literal and actual breath of fresh air for me.  Hanging with the big dogs I was able to ride up that very steep "wall" instead of going around it and then headed down that off camber center rock rutted "ravine" for the first time without getting off the bike.

Riding bikes with friends is awesome.
Dave, you were killing it! btw, the only one that did not crash!
