Just registered. That takes care of that. Current mood:

Sadly I think I'm going to miss my favorite race. I've got a good excuse though: Lisa is due pretty much ON race day... So unless somebody knows somebody who can chopper me home from Stage Hill road if she goes into labor I'm gonna have to limit myself to participating via twitter for this one.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format not-found
Aw yeah, I'm in!!
I'm bout it bout it.

Unless some surprising form arrives in my 34-year-old legs in the next few months, looks like I'll be pulling for Konrad.
What field are the 4s registering for? I'm game to work for our frontrunners.
@david
Register to team open field. They will group us later on
Awesome thanks Thierry, registered!
I'm in!

@aaron,

Do it NOW!!!

Should i just pull the trigger now? or is there a high possibility the reg will be full for the 4s?

it did last year
@Jules, sounds like you'll already be a winner that weekend and that Lisa will be in more pain than us all! We'll have to see if they make a commemorative swaddling jersey.
Thanks @Erika.  They make 'em pretty small :)

fellow battenkillers,

let's figure out the lodging situation soon so we don't get forced into overly expensive/distant accommodations.  i assume we'll do some sort of shared rental.  not suggesting we do something right now, but let's have it on the radar.
I booked a double queen size beds room at the Bennington Best Western. $25 per person (4 people max)  with breakfast included.
Cat 5 field limits raised to 75.  What could possibly go wrong?  :P
I'm registered to race Cat 5. Looking to make a weekend out of it with the wife and kid.
just got an e-mail from them.  "training video 1" is up.  their description via e-mail:

The first of four training videos is now available on the Tour of  the Battenkill Facebook page at www.facebook.com/battenkill.  This video covers the new start line in Cambridge, Eagleville Covered Bridge, Juniper Swamp Road, Feed Zone #1 at the Battenkill Valley Creamery, Joe Beane Road, and Ferguson Road.

the video is at http://vimeo.com/82701364
video #2 is up!

http://vimeo.com/82556406

PREPARE THYSELF!  I will be watching these on the trainer today,
Note to self: when videoing a climb stay in the saddle!
Registered for Cat 5... time to start watching those videos  :)
does anyone have a wheelset they'd be willing to let me borrow/rent for battenkill (apr 5)?  my rear wheel wear indicator says the rim should be replaced, so the lawyer inside me thinks using it at battenkill would be a bit...foolhardy.

i'm going to try to get new wheels before then but there's a chance i won't have new wheels of my own by apr 5.

msg or e-mail me, we'll work something out.

folks, what i'm really saying above is . . .

. . . battenkill tire choice?

image
Yes (unless I sell the bike it's on before then).

Also, very preliminary: I'm planning to rent a room around there the night before.  Should I be thinking of the night after as well?
Yang unless you want to do the fondo the next day, I don't think you need a room for the night-of.
You mean fon-don't!  amirite??!!?  Thanks folks, I'll be here all week.  Try the veal.
