Sept 9 - 10th

individual races and team events. looks like tons of fun.
it would be so dope if we could get a team together to crush the team sprint and the team pursuit.  
would anyone be interest? I haven't been this excited about racing my bike all season 

Individual races

• required to be CAT 4 and up / No CAT 5
• individual races consist of scratch, points, and endurance

Team Events

• Based on my read, all categories can participate here
• There is a Team Sprint (3 riders) and a Team Pursuit (4 riders)

we should do the team sprint together

separately, lots of people come up to me at the track and ask where all the other Kissena's are... which is followed by them encouraging me to get more of us out there. Would be very cool to reestablish our presence. I also think we would crush it. goals for next year....

Went to trexlertown preferred valley yesterday with a bunch of guys and girls from the Kissena Veledrome. Won a sprint lap in race #2. In race #1, a 9 lap scratch race, I had a huge lead until 1.5 laps to go. over half a lap ahead of everyone, but started to run out of gas lol. Also tactically I was riding high on the track near the blue line. I didn't appreciate until post race how much more distance I was covering bc of it. One of the pink rhino racers gave me some pointers afterward. but I was the subject of the velodrome all day because of that breakaway. Minor celebrity status. I generated some good publicity for the team. Between the breakaway and the announcer knowing our kit, I was definitely the toast of the town. I like the idea of being super aggressive right out of the gate. No one expects it at the track and most of the riders dont have the endurance.

my legs were wobbly as hell and I have horrible track hack now. 

I have about 10 guys interested in learning more about Kissena. They'll all be at states and sharing the kissena tent. If others come to states, I could use the help trying to recruit them. 

Congrats Greg. Sounds like you found a calling? When is the championship?

Jeff and I were talking up at GMSR about the team sprint at Kissena States this coming weekend and thought it would be clutch if we could get someone in the mix so we can compete. My fitness is shit at the moment, but I can pull a solid first lap, perhaps getting a nice lead-out. second rider goes 2 laps, and Jeff could be the anchor sprinting the last 3 laps. 

It turns out only riders that are TRACK CAT 4 or higher can participate in any of the events at State's. Team events included. 

Is there anyone that would be up to join? I have not idea who has a CAT 4 or better standing at the track other than Jeff and I.

I'm feeling it.  Don't know if I as a cat III can do it with you and Jeff White.

Unfortunately, I can't do the team sprint . When we were talking about it at GMSR I was under the impression it was Saturday. I'll be at Whirlybird Sunday. Wish I could!

I'm at the wards island crit / alley cat right now spectating (don't worry, not wearing a kissena kit) and all these gutter punks are talking about  JP. referring to a Kissena racer w a pony tail, my my ears perked up. Hey, I know that guy!  Apparently @mugwump literally won every event today at the state championships?today?! he was wearing like 30 medals? JP, race report please!

Le sigh.

I won the 40+ scratch, points, and elimination races, which means I'm also the 40+ endurance omnium champ.  Four golds and a jersey.  Kristin has some pics.  I'll post when I get them.

I'll also detail tomorrow.

Is it greedy of me to regret not registering for the 40+ sprint events as well (Keirin, 500m tt)?
