Tour of the Catskills

I know it’s not a a stage race and not a USAC event anymore, but anyone interested in doing this? I did it last year and it’s a harder (and more enjoyable!?) day in the saddle than Bear Mountain Spring Classic. Beautiful scenery too. The course is 72 miles with some great climbing, in particular the famous Platte Cove/Devil’s Kitchen which hits around mile 60 and is BRUTAL - I have a little place nearby in Woodstock and know it too well! The field is usually around 200 peeps and while there is a great mix of ability, the first 30-40 tend to be strong riders and there is usually one or two teams turn up with some riders. The “race” has that all the way through to people who just grind it out.

I’m signed up and going in any case, as are a few guys I also ride with via Overlook Mountain bikes in Woodstock. It’s a cool event if anyone is interested.

@Muzzabiker I've one this a few times and am all too familiar with the Devils Kitchen sufferfest :) How did it go?
