Late Summer / Fall Racing - new rider questions

Hello all- I was late to the Kissena party this summer, having just joined the club and only having raced one Masters race with you guys (I’m 41, C4). I missed this past weekend as I was doing Tour of the Catskills and will miss next two weekends as I will be in France (no complaints!).
I was wondering what people do for riding/racing from late August?

A few specific questions:

1. I see there are some peeps who do CX? I’d be game for that (despite only ever having raced road or gravel).

2. What about the Merrick crits in September/Oct? Anyone from the club do them.

3. Is there a regular cadence to date and time of weekly club rides? I may be being dumb, but haven’t figured that out.

I’m happy to race any and all events. I have a couple of respectable C4 races and ~15 respectable C5s before that. OK puncheur/rouleur, happy to work hard for others and feel like I have fitness/power that just about (but probably not quite!) makes up for lack of race craft!

Thanks in advance,
Steve Murray (Muzza)
Just bringing to top, in case anyone has ideas
Muzza,
1 - There’s a ton of CX racers in the club, discussion of that will hot up soon. Do sign up for races as soon as races become available as sign-up order is start order and in CX that is everything. Star the thread to get heads-up.
2. Merrick crits I can’t speak to. But any late season racing is awesome.
3. Brooklyn, team rides PP — meet GAP 6:00am: Weds (training), Friday (social ride + openers) other mornings use Slack to coordinate. CP @ TOG - 6:00am rides many mornings (see Slack), Friday morning with JP 9:30am (11 in winter).
Weekend rides both days meet 8:00am BB/9:00am GWB.
@JohnMalcolmson - thanks very much for the response. Much appreciated.
Hey Steve- I'm doing the September 7th 4/5 Merrick Crit and think @JasonFugett said he was thinking about it too. Would be pretty sweet to get a few guys out there.
