BRSV (Bicycle Racing Support Vehicle) demise

It is with great sadness that I must bring the news that my 2018 Honda Odyssey Mini-Van met it's end while I was vacationing in South Carolina early this week. I had a major accident (airbags and all) while down there this past Tuesday. Luckily my passengers and myself were unharmed along with the person who hit me at speed.

I hope to be able to get a replacement soon-ish (over the next 4 months). The payout should give me a decent downpayment (after they pay off the loan), but it won't be a Mini-Van since the pricing for them has gone through the roof. What that means is that I will be getting a smaller vehicle and might not be able to offer rides to CX races (I was/am so looking forward to the cx season) if Amy is with me) or if not, I will not be able to carry as much cargo and passengers as I did in 2018.

I, for one, AM HUGELY BUMMED at this turn of events.

Love minivans.  Great transport.

And yours comes with an awesome driver.  :)

We'll get to the races, by hook or crook.
Very glad to hear that everyone made it out unscathed!
Glad to hear you (and everyone else) are okay!
Totally sucks on the car, it sounds like a very real car crash, so very glad everyone is ok!

First time for airbags and being hit so hard you are stunned for a bit. Not to mention ears ringing from impact and explosion of airbags, almost like a flash bang grenade going off...
Yikes
What I've been up to... sort of...

Sounds like an adventure that ended well - back in the Shire, so to speak!

More or less. I didn't detail the ticket the trooper late to the scene gave me. Still need to pay or fight that. And some odds and ends... I will be financially prudent until next summer, but I have a plan.. so...
