Results Bros? We had people in all the races.
For me, I was flying solo in the 1/2/3's. AT least 50 starters. Big Hit Racing (formerly Weather Channel) and Good Guys were the teams to watch.
They started attacking from the beginning. The first move quickly gained 10-15 seconds, and I didn't want to see the first move take it, so I countered. With some help from my friends that was enough to bring it back.
But then another move went! I think Big Hit had two, Good Guys had two, and a few other folks.
It was hard to get a chase going. As I had zero teammates, I was just watching. Adam Carr and Jermaine Burrowes did the lions share of the work for several laps, with a few other Burrowes helping out for a few minutes at a time. Verrazano had a few, G4D had a few, Bicycle Habitat had a few, Veselka had a few. Zero help. Foundation helped a bit, but were mostly passengers.
I felt like I did several laps sitting between fourth and seventh wheel. I'd sit behind John Loehner or one of his teammates and he'd act as the gatekeeper. We caught three guys at half distance but there were three more out there killing it. WE never caught them.
On the last lap, I thought I had something left for a sprint. Halfway up the hill, good position. 2/3 up, starting to feel on edge. 3/4 up, I was done.
