Posting here hopefully good enough place. I am wondering what would be a good route from say Prospect to get to Central Park? I am actually 3 miles east of Prospect but that should not be too consequential...

There are plenty of easy ways to get there, but this is a most friendly route, and very basically how I get to CP most times -- (if I'm heading to a race, I'm more likely stay on the east side of manhattan)

I typically take the west side highway bike path up to Riverside Park, pick one of the three ways to get up to the manhattan local roads, and then ride 72nd over to the Strawberry Fields CP entrance. It avoids the avenues.
On the way out I’ll just reverse that or if I feel like living a little I’ll go out the 7th Ave south exit, look at Times Square in the distance, then cut over to the west side bike path via 55th street.
