What's nice about racing for a team that cares, is that it gives the individual confidence to be aggressive. Knowing that we've got blue and orange beasties behind ready to take up the battle if we can't finish the job ourselves is huge.
Looking at the Harlem results, I see a problem. Namely, all of the people who did well (scored at least one point) either had no teammates or ineffective teammates, and all but one of the points laps were won in field sprints.

I'll grant I wasn't strong enough, that I did't time my attacks well, that I was in poor position for the final sprint, that I didn't communicate well with fellow attackers, but I don't think anyone who got points did any actual chasing.
@JP, the pro race didn't look much different from my point of view. Haven't looked at the points results though. While there were a few more legit breakaway attempts, nothing ultimately got away. Greg Olsen could be hilariously seen hollering at some Jamis dude, Epstein was in a group that stayed away for like 1 lap. Later in the afternoon, during the Miss-n-out, one rider took a flyer when there were about 7 riders left and he did get and stay away for the win there.
Glad Victor got this shot so I could go over it in my mind a few more times. His caption is incorrect, it is for 8th, 9th, and 10th places. That's me in the background in green.
