I thought I'd start a new thread for the new series.

I should be present at every race & It would be great for Kissena to snatch up another frameset. With this I would like to present my candidacy for president... I mean overall series winner.

I think the first few weeks are pretty important as far as getting points goes, and if any of you guys feel up for it I'd love some help. However If anyone else feels strong this Thursday or the next and wants to go for it feel free too, I'll be just as glad to help a team mate win as to win myself. (if only politics worked that way)

I am all for helping someone else out once I finish up this "work" thing that will conflict for the rest of July.

I'm also probably out for most of this series, as my classes won't be getting out in time generally. Good luck!

I should be able to make it out to some of these races. Definitely can't this week, but maybe next?

Happy to work for you Wojciech. What's your thinking on the best way to get you into yellow?

Big field. Windy. Hard. Felt smashed after AM hill repeats. Jan and Woj were out hammering it in early breaks (and also just hammering it on the front for half a lap in Wojciech's case).
Woj did an excellent job leading me out for S1 but I got jumpy and went too early into the wind and got fourth behind my fan club.
3 man CRCA breakaway (Diehard, Axis, Garneaux) was away for S2. Jon Orcutt was particularly strong.
Tried to bridge (hey those are my sprint points!), no dice. Once back in the bunch, got on the front to try and chase down. Problem was there were teams blocking AND teams who weren't in the break blocking (thanks CRCA pizza guys!?). Half the bunch didn't know there was a break... ahem. Then there was the two-wheeled Weed Whacker who rode into a bush at the top of the circuit.
Didn't contest the bunch sprint for fourth. Groveled home. Good news is, I didn't lose the luck of the Irish jersey!

Doh! That was supposed to be in FBF Tuesday.

I will be out there tonight, feeling strong and angry so I'm hoping for a break where I can do most of the work. : D

The wind looks like it's going to die down by 7 but I definitely want to organize some guys ( breakaway, depot, speedwell) to go with me.

I did join. Now I have a chance to understand what you all mean when you're talking about FBF, because I raced there last evening for the first time. Actually, I did not race much, because it was quite disorganized, but I had an excellent workout.

We all rode very well yesterday and I'm pleased with our teamwork. Everyone was equally aggressive and on lap 2 I got in a break with the older EMS guy and a Mexico-cycling guy. After a lap of working decently together we got caught and passed by the 123 break of 5 or 6. After that the whole group passed us. Somewhere then the Mexico kid dropped back to the group, while one of the Flying Aces guys appeared in our group. Seeing as there was no way he could have bridged up solo I'm preety sure he got a ride from one of the 123 riders. EMS and myself were working, and I kept trying to talk the guy into pulling some. He ignored me and started blocking us. I got preety annoyed and gave him a piece of my mind- no response. After a lap of this EMS dropped off while I kept hammering it out, loosing a bit of the gap on the long, windy section and the finish line section, while gaining it back on the side section. Another lap goes by and a PRO 1 guy joins us. I ask him to pull- "me pro 1! *shows 1 finger up indicating he's apparently a cat 1*" So i say okay yay great pull? "Me #1" I guess he meant that it was against the rules for him to pull, but I think it was just as much against them that he was hitching a ride with us. After another lap I said screw it and gave up, knowing I couldn't hold it for another 5 laps solo.

Frias was pissed that everyone was on his wheel waiting for him to sprint... so he decided to attack on the final lap on the long cross section. I followed and we had 10 or so that got a small gap, took the corner moved a place up and finished 9th. Took a 20$ prime also that we split. I thought the Flying aces guy out sprinted me, but now I think it was his teamate, so I protested if he was to get a placing and it looked like he didn't.

Fun shit, I won't be going for the overall as I will miss a few of these, but I have my eye on most aggressive rider. hah

Yeah Wojciech was definitely the most aggressive out there. I had followed his first early attack and we got a little gap, but then we got caught on the windy section. His second attack (again, from behind - so sneaky!) I knew I was too late, so I got to the front and blocked. Stephane and Naji (sp.?) weren't up with me at that point, so it was hard to control the front by myself, but Wojciech's break very quickly was looking promising and I was psyched. Then the pro123's came by, and it all turned to crap - one of the United guys in our race was screaming at everybody not to mix in, even though nobody was - and next thing I know, we've caught the break. :/

I worked a bit too hard - too much time in the wind, lots of attacking and bridging - and I was totally gassed by the end. I finished somewhere in the back.

Woj split his prime with us, though - sweet!

3rd place, beat by frias and lance out of a 6 man break

Caught a flat on lap 2, joined the field, attacked, got to a group of 4 that fell apart right then, made it up to lance.
Vlad (speedwell) and myself did most of the work. We got to a solo BH guy who joined us after 8 laps solo. Bell lap lance pulls off, frias is in the wind and starts "adjusting" his shoes. Really? So I attacked him and if it wasnt for lance getting up to me I would have probably solo-Ed it

I ran into some bummed out Setanta guys in PP tonight who mentioned a Kissena rider was in the winning break.

Wojciech...congrats. What category/race are you doing? A few weeks ago, when I nearly was killed by Mangoseed and Mengoni thugs, you were racing the 1/2/3s with me.

Congrats Wojciech - good on you for attacking him when he started acting silly. Now to force him to do his fair share of work....

Wojciech, I was watching you the first few laps, you seemed attentive and not working like crazy (at least seen from the finish line), waiting for the decisive moment... Congratulations!

Crazy windy Combined field 1234, 5-laps of beat-down. Shortened due to, oh, several lightning strikes (a ways a way thankfully). Bucketed on the way home.

Nice work Harry (8th) and Christian (5th) in the 5's.
