^^Cringe. Although, as Dr. Carrerio showed me, the proper way to get the shoulder back into place is sort of a reverse throwing motion. Upper arm lifted to shoulder level, lower arm at a right angle to your upper arm and level; make a fist and lift your fist as high as you can.

There are a few techniques - the one you #DONOTWANT is with you lying prone on a table with your arm dangling down over the side and the doctor underneath you with his foot on the bottom of the table pushing UP while pulling on your wrist with all his might...

Also if your doc approves, stretch and go through the shoulder's full range of motions. I learned the hard way through surgery what "frozen shoulder" means.
