I've been wondering for years why USAC didn't have this. When did it start?

No idea, but race email indicated that usac would fully refund fees if the race was cancelled due to weather, one of the bigger worries for promoters and racers alike.

I expect BikeReg will get on board with that policy right quick.

If there isn't a club sponsored race going on these are FANTASTIC training races. If you're new to racing you can race TWICE in one day. Finish your race, line up and race straight away again. Super opportunity to practice riding in a pack and trying to keep track of what's happening in a race.

I know i just posted about the Randall's Crit but I think I'm going to go out to Newark instead lol. I didnt see that this race was going on! Anyone interested in heading out to Branchbrook this weekend? This one is on Satuday so we can still get a long ride in on Sunday.

New racers: this one is for you. Branchbrook is a fantastic place to practice racing bikes. Look into it.

Sweet, I'm in but I'm just going to hold off until last min to register in case the snow messes things up. 

Just registered for both because it looks like things miiiiight clear up in time. According to their FB we'll get a refund if the weather is too nasty to hold the event.

bummer, I was looking forward to racing tomorrow. Maybe since they cancelled the weather will hold off and we can get in a nice ride over the bridge 🤞🤞

For everyone racing Grant's Tomb, try to get a group ride in this weekend.  One where you ride a hard paceline and get in a few sprints, probably at least one lead out.  Familiarize yourself with riding hard, sprinting, and teammates.
