Hey guys, I'm new to the club and I'm wondering if anyone has a team kit they're looking to unload? I'm looking for small for both jersey and bib. Thanks.

Some quick comments:
- These are obviously not directly associated with Kissena CC
- They would ship to my place, and I will deliver or ship to you (you might need to cover a small shipping)
- These are at cost (i.e. made this for fun, not profit)
- These are custom made, so no returns
- Reach out if you are ordering, or for any comments/questions eloy@groovylab.com 347.225.1058
- Infinite thanks to Patrick, Jules, and Rich for their help. Ben at Champ Sys also worth note. & Roz Patterson, who helped me put it all together.
- Yes, the plan is to make more and other designs in the future

Looks like Ineos may be the reason Kask brought back their orange Protone

I thought they did it for us. And Ineos just took advantage of our demands.PatrickGrehan said:Looks like Ineos may be the reason Kask brought back their orange Protone![]()
More seriously, last year I was talking with the local sales rep, who told me that there were many complaints when they discontinued the orange Protone, and that she expected it to come back in 2020.

Interesting to see a RedBull helmet at the TDS. I know WVA and Pidcock are RedBull guys too, wonder if they will donning them too.

Uh what in the name of unholy Beelzebub is up with that over the shoulder shot?

I assume it was to provide a rear view without providing a rear view. A back shot without backside perhaps?Jules said:Uh what in the name of unholy Beelzebub is up with that over the shoulder shot?

to no one's surprise Emma White is part of the olympic squad. Cyclocross is everything you want cycling to be.
Also, lets raise a drink for jersey's collars and being able to zip up when winning. Here here.

also mega interesting, no longer made by Assos, didn't what his name former head of USAC move to assos??

Indeed. Derek Bouchard Hall.eloy said:also mega interesting, no longer made by Assos, didn't what his name former head of USAC move to assos??
Don't know why he left. He had moved his family from London to do the job, so I would have thought he was super-committed to staying. Maybe he decided he couldn't work with the organization or board, or vice versa.
The US is a huge market and I'd have thought Assos was keen to increase their visibility. Take back some of the pie that Rapha grabbed.
But... with national-team clothing sponsors, it seems to me that it is very much a merry go-round for all parties. Maybe it's not a good investment. Maybe a new design and new sponsor is good for everyone involved.

Yea, DBH! that's him! I would guess that USAC had a two year contract with Assos, probably via the same contacts that eventually hire Derek.
But that USAC wouldn't renew Assos in 2021, including the olympics, which likely was a goal of the original Assos contract, suggests weird feelings from current USAC leadership towards DBH, -- a story that also fits the amount of good cool people leaving USAC in 2020, the DBH crew.

Today I did my first ride in baggy shorts and a tech .t shirt on my mountain bike at Stillwell
I don’t get it , the 3pocket jersey is so much better than putting shit in odd pockets on my shorts

I agree. The solution seems to be backpacks. Don't ask, I only ride here.Mark Taylor said:Today I did my first ride in baggy shorts and a tech .t shirt on my mountain bike at Stillwell

It's a funny thing. I'd rather have conventional jersey pockets and two bottles on my bike rather than a hydration pack and that same stuff in the pack...Jules said:I agree. ...though I was never a fan of messenger bags for commuting. A pack makes more sense to me in that situation. better balance, more room, less to take off the bike when stopping
The shorts side pocket thing bugs me because it seems to widen my profile, I notice the stuff more when pedaling, and I see that stuff grinding into whatever I hit on the ground when crashing. Feel it's easier to fall out, too.
Maybe it's because full-suspension makes it harder to put bottles on the frame.

MTBers don't question the roadie's obsessions with sock heights and tan lines, roadies don't question the MTBer's need for cargo shorts and backpacks. It is the way.Mark Taylor said:Today I did my first ride in baggy shorts and a tech .t shirt on my mountain bike at Stillwell

I realized MTB are as into style as roadies
just different

A small shout-out to the person who decided we needed a string backpack. For warm-weather races, I like it because it fits in a jersey pocket, unfurls to take my jersey, lights, saddle bag, pump, and can be used to haul winnings (or extra bottles home)
It's not so much for branding and club identity. As you can see from the pic above (cropped from Eloy's shot), they're easy to spot.
The only change I'd like is a white rectangle to make it easier for people to Sharpie in their names. I used a silver sharpie on mine.

MTB aesthetic is to try as hard as possible to convince everyone you don't try.Mark Taylor said:I realized MTB are as into style as roadies

I made myself a pair similar to these: https://yeticycles.com/gear/detail/enduro-bib out of some old bibs and the fabric from some shot compression shorts. The MTB style boost of baggies and a t-shirt plus the comfort and pockets of the bibs is a winning combo imo.
