Indoor Training, and Virtual Racing (ZWIFT)

Not indoor training (quite literally the opposite), but man, if you were in need of some strength training, this blizzard was clutch. I was about to hop on zwift but looked outside and decided I needed to save my energy for shoveling and boy was I glad I did. I ended up spending close to 4 hours shoveling. Out of curiosity I did the very rough back of napkin math and turns out I ended up moving close to 16,000 cubic feet of snow
Yes , i woke up this morning , got out of bed and was like , jeez my back !

New basement trainer room almost complete. Any particular recommendations for bike mat? I haven't owned one since the first generation Saaris....

Looking good Jules! I forget which version I have, but this brand is super heavy duty and good quality - I think I got mine in 2017. The only issue I've had is wearing a hole through the one spot where I pivot off a cleat as I get off the bike.

I should probably replace mine with a new one.

I shoveled for about 2hrs after the 6hr zwift session. Do not recommend.
Lots of options on Amazon that are not a name brand that work as well for a fraction of the price ,
+1 for the amazon special. It's held up pretty well for 4 years. Since it's in the basement and subjected to being very cold these days its just starting to get a bit brittle and beat up from the few steps I take on it with my cleats
Alright folks, looking ROUGH out there this weekend again. Looking to set up a sunday morning ride (or rides) to get big miles under my butt. Anyone have any longer zwift routes they want to get a badge on?
9a start, join for part or for the whole enchilada! We are doing the mega pretzel this week - prepare with about 4 bottles and 4-5hrs worth of carbs.
