Is there a schedule for these virtual shindigs somewhere? I just accepted delivery of my new Kickr Core after leaving my old trainer in NYC when I bugged out and am itching to "ride" "fast" with "people".
P much Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings! If youve raced in PP before you should get the emails with a sign up link. If not, someone posts the link here.
Yes, please post the link :) for some reason I got an email for the first race and not anymore

Question, does one need to be an NYC racer to join or can anyone?  I haven't been receiving any emails from Charlie although of course I raced PP and CP in the past.

If anyone, great!  Then I'll join the next one (can't today)
I don’t think so Scott. The intent is for new york racing “family” so i think you can safely consider yourself a part of that.

remember bumble bee basic 1 jersey

slept pretty bad last night, will not try to stay with the lead group, and other excuses
Went into the B boi race expecting to get dropped but I managed to make the front group on both of the tricky "climbs" and held on in the finale for 9th.

The B's were a bit different than the Cs. The Cs always felt like gogogo no matter what but the B's seem content to ride tempo on the flats and then push on the climbs. We even kinda dragged it out in the final 3km. The overall watts were a little lower in the B's but I don't think I was as active as I was in the other category for fear of getting blasted out the back.
nice job Rob!

Perhaps was the mood of Sunday, or by now we are adapting, as the start felt hard but a little less super hard than other races, the beginning flats felt sweet to just hang with the group... that said Rich and Jim put in some serious attacks, and then, eventually on a rise somehow, Jules, Rich, and I made a split before the volcano climb that ended being the decisive move, Nate caught us early in the climb, he went on to have a great race and WIN the C race.

Rich 4th, Jules 5th, myself 7th, Jim 8th. Definately fun. Hard Fun. Now to eat all the hoarded bacon and to nap the rest of Sunday. Cheers.
Getting blasted out the back is the reason to race.
Bigtime Kissena representation in the C race. Rich, Jim, Eloy, and Jules did a bunch of good work on the front until Jules, Rich, Eloy, and I got into a larger group ended up with Rich and Jules up the Volcano until I hit the top with 2 other guys and just kinda hung around until a Foundation guy jumped with .5 to go or so. Saved that sweet sweet “Truck” powerup and died a thousand deaths to hold him off. Very strange game, this virtual stuff.
Wow that hurt. Smaller group somehow succumbed to @eloy 's jedi mind tricks of "lets start easy" and we rolled out at a downright civilized pace. Things more or less stayed that way. I bridged up to an early KCC move, but we were caught. Then I made another little dig on the first hills to see how people were feeling. I got about a 20' lead before people started chasing. I hung on and watched as some dude named Hidalgo exploded about 12m from my wheel, then (I think) the break was formed on the bottom of the first real slopes.

I rode like a moron; I didn't realize how far the KOM top was so I sprinted for the first arch I saw - complete rookie mistake - I was definitely on the back foot after that. I felt like a dope yoyo-ing off the back of the lead group until I cracked when the top 3 sprinted for the actual KOM. More or less rode it in solo down from the mountain top. @RichFreemanpassed me when I stopped to plug my garmin in, but the 20' I lost there grew to a minute by the end so that's a well earned spot for him in my book.

Mega supreme fuego spint by @Nathaniel Picard Busky at the end with a big old 11, 10, 8... holding 6 w/kg to cinch the top step. Chapeau!
technology got the better of me on this one but sounds like everyone had a great race (Major kudos to @Nathaniel Picard Busky!). Can’t wait to keep this momentum up with everyone next time
I should add the satisfaction of watching everyone race as a team even online is huge. Nobody chased teammates, but people countered and helped if they could bridge. Great practice for the real world, if we're ever allowed to rejoin it.
I feel like a character from Westworld - memories coming to me randomly - congrats to Jim for setting a new pr on that climb!
I’d like to put forward a petition to add an additional sensor to Zwift. It’d be a weight sensor to adjust your weight in the game as you lose gallons upon gallons of sweat. I was down 2.5 pounds afterwards and I gosh dang earned those additional w/kg..
My feelings are hurt. It is as if I don't f&$)& exist.
@Thierry Bonnaire ! Always first in the warmup tent :) For some reason my phone zwift app spents 2/3rd of every ride disconnected so I can't chat very well. It's maddening. Sorry I couldn't chat more pre-race.

Don't worry about it. My feelings are raw since I found out that my uncle had a stroke last January that left him half paralyzed and then was infected with Covid19. He's recuperating thankfully but he's not allowed to have any visitors nor any possessions, it's heart wrenching.

Jesus Thierry - that's awful. Really sorry to hear that.
^ also - and I hope it's not premature but that's one tough Frenchman!

He was a nuclear submarine commander so I know that he has nerves of steel.

I think I'm out this week. 600 tss in 7 days this boy needs his sleep
Out again this week, good luck kissena gents.
Holy balls. Got shit out the back of the Bs as predicted. I started well but all of a sudden was out of the front pack with 2 other guys who then dropped me by 0:10 and I spent like 15 minutes alone in no-man's land which kinda blew me out for the climb. Shoulda just gone outside. C'est la vie!
