Blake, you've been working hard and I see those numbers too, you're going to be awesome.

Be strategic start as close to the front for the hill and really give it the beans, sucking wheels along the way. By the time you hit the top, you'll have slid back to mid pack and have wheels to hide behind to recover on the downhill toward the start/finish.

You got this.
Won't go too deep into it but Max crashed on the bell lap up the hill and had to go to the ER. No head injuries and he's in good spirits but he will need to be admitted for a procedure and monitored overnight. The doctors at NY Presbyterian in park slope seem very competent so I'm expecting him to be well taken care of.

Good luck Max!!!

Sorry not sure how to get the preview to show.
Heal quick Max
Hope you feel better soon Max
Thanks all.

Jonas-esque injuries for me. Collapsed lung and a few cracked ribs. Will be at hospital for a few days since I had to have a procedure done to alleviate lung pressure. It sucks but should be a straightforward recovery once I’m out of here.

Big thank you to everyone at the race for checking on me and helping sort my bike and belongings , and to @d@"David Yang" for sticking with me
at the hospital for a few hours.

Hope you feel better soon!
Get well soon Max.
Feel better soon man!
Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery!

take good care, hope you feel better
You've taken the first step towards a second place overall in the TdF. Hope you recover as well or better!

I'm also out of town this weekend.  But back for the next weekend.

Race hard, race well, share the winnings.

I have not signed up yet, but 90% likely I'll be racing and L&C this weekend in the 3-4 race.

Is the KOM jersey competitive or something people don't really care too much about? Feel like going for that could be something that suits me, but in the 5's we didn't have that so not sure what the dynamics are like.
I'd say it's pretty competitive. I think in year's past KCC members have won it (maybe @PatrickGrehan if memory serves?). In the last couple of years I think by the 2nd or 3rd race it's usually down to a handful of people making a real run at it, but team tactics are employed and since it's not a hard climb it basically turns into an uphill drag race to the line

I think it's pretty competitive for all the jerseys in all the categories.

Having teammates can really help.
Very competitive but if you want to go for it we can certainly set up a plan for the series.
if all goes smoothly injury-wise, i think my first race will be the verge #1 on 3/23 in Cat 5! otherwise, will go for L&C on 3/30

I've put all of these in the Google Calendar now.
Verge is split differently to L&C. It's 2/3 (12 laps), Masters (9 laps) & 4/5/Novice (5 laps). I'm definitely down and leaning towards the Masters but would like to race with more team members. Who is signing up & for what Cat?
I'm in for the Masters in the first Verge race.

That written, I have no idea how I'll ride.  I think I can finish.  Not sure if I can attack.

If we have people who can make a difference in the other races, I'd suggest going with that.
Would likely be to fast for me, @MaxBucksbaum shall we go again/round 2 in the 4/5's?

I think i'm in for the 4/5/Novice race!
As of now I’m planning to do 4/5s for verge.
If ya'll racing 4/5 I'll race that with you.
