Saturday is the Al Toefield race in Prospect. Any Takers?
http://www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=13348

Last year, I think the average speed for the first hour was close to 28mph.

Sunday, anyone going up to Naugatuck? I think Wojciech, our newly-minted III is headed up there.
is anyone driving up morning of?

i'm getting back from bizniz that night, but i really want to do this, and i need a ride.

on offer: gas money/snacks/long stories about my cat
Naugatuck was the plan, however I don't know if I'll be up for the 3 hour train ride. If anyone is willing to drive I'd much appreciate it
I'm leaning towards skipping Saturday. Al Toefield is tempting but I have a hard time taking it easy at races I'm supposed to just sit in at so I fear I'll end up exhausting myself.
I'm outta town this weekend, good luck everyone.
I'll go if I can ride with the cat stories.
I am not racing Saturday
I wanna go but morning of sounds brutal. This race is FAR
i'll drive if you can get the car

FYI: it will basically be like getting up for a park race in the borough you don't live in.

i wake up at 4 for prospect races - not so bad
William would you not be able to leave the night before, even if we busted out late?
I could do that, but my flight doesn't get into Newark until 10

Your call, sugar
I'll be there. probably a big fast field. don't see that much on the calendar, and there isn't a CRCA club race, so that population will be present.
I'm going to race in PP on Saturday. That's probably it for me this weekend.
I'm in for the Saturday race as well. Then riding somewhere upstate with Neil Ross on Sunday afternoon, if anyone's interested.
Plan to do PP saturday
I think I'm in for PP Saturday. Thought it wouldn't reach 50, but now it looks like it will. I am going to form a break. Come with.
Morning drive is typical. 10am start is easy to make. I'm looking for a ride as well.

Keith
I'm in for Saturday as well.
I'm in. For both the race and the break Jeff. No primes/KOM points this race, right? I think lap 6 sounds good to go. Thoughts?
ha, yeah, I just said that. It all depends of course. I'll probably try something up the hill (of course) and see if anyone comes, after spending the first few laps warming up and scanning the pack for other breaks or strong riders to invite along. Should be fun.
has there ever been a race where we did _not_ attempt a break? i'm in for the plan... just sayin'.

agreed, we should sit tight and just follow wheels early on instead of initiating early. if something else goes, cool, go with it if it's threatening.
But this time it's going to work, Rich! Yeah, I'm with Adam in that this isn't a series and there are no intermediate points (that I know of) so people should do whatever they want to place well. If it comes down to a bunch sprint, we can try and finagle something together.
Make no mistake, i'm planning to break/counter too. We'll save a sprint plan for last resort.
I agree with Rich, especially given a no-wind forecast.
4-up Kissena attack/breakaways/counters for sure, but let's craft a plan to gobble those 10 finish line places as well.
how many pair of legs we got?

edit: oh boy, like 13. should be enough to swipe some placings even if folks are gassed from trying to break.
Ok. I'm attacking first time up the hill and we're going to stay away. Sound good?

That'd be a hell of a way to win it!
i'm in saturday. if you are in the back of the pack, and want a ride up to the front, for example up the hill, or want a slingshot off the front, grab me. Maybe i could drag somebody up to a breakaway. I could try to do a leadout for a prime. I have 10 points for this series, as much as the two other race winners, so there is a good chance of getting a leg up if i place, since nobody else has more than 10.
Where can I park my car tomorrow?...sersiously I read that cars have been getting towed
Changed my mind. No Saturday race for me this weekend. Looks like Dan Strika is the only Kissena who pre-registered.
