Farmers Daughter was a good time for the most part, I highly recommend against using 32c slicks for it, especially if you have no CX or single track experience . Bit of a suffer fest for me but it was a lot of fun once I finished.

I'd be really interested in getting a gravel ride or two on the calendar for this summer/fall if the route is not too technical. 

Grant - glad you enjoyed your first gravel experience. It was a tough one. Hope your hearing worked for those last few climbs.

Hey, team. as some of you know, I am on the mend from a little sickness that required antibiotics, what I did not anticipate is that one needs to also recover from the antibiotics themselves.

So I find myself on the fence about heading to Vermont Overland (Sat 8/26). One thing that could make me go is teammates. Wondering if any other kissenistas are signed up and heading there?

It appears that they are getting rid of the first off road single track section where Grant learned the limit of his bald 30mm road tires and Capt. Dan found a top end Silca hand pump. It was quite a bottleneck

Yes, Eloy and myself rode slick Rene hearses 35mm etc
but 1-2 field used road bikes with 28+ tires 

Oh that's right, I rode the crux with 35mm slicks -- which arguably is overkill. This is mostly asphalt, but definitely a gorgs fun route.

I might be into it if there isn't a PP race that Sunday.

Definitely a longer commute for you guys, but you do get to eat at Steve Tilford's memorial pie shop when you're done

Most of us are signed up to the Farmer's Daugther Gravel Grinder on the same day.

I ride these roads when I'm near my in-laws a lot. Easily doable on a cross bike and fun farm roads that wind all over
