@Jules just a bit far for for me 😅
i forgot to mention that I signed up for this train accessible gravel ride on Oct 13, probably not very intense, and would appreciate some company.Â

Is that race accessible by Metro North @Jules ?
and Will, I remember we talked about that one! I’d probably be down for it assuming it’s not the same day as the Kissena Fall ClassicÂ

If you don’t mind a 33 hour trip...ÂRobertMullen said:Is that race accessible by Metro North @Jules ?

@RobertMullen that is some insane elevation in one ride.Â

I'm thinking of doing the Old croton aqueduct ride , Sunday , riding to peekskill , grabbing a beer before taking the train back to grand central.
Company appreciated

@Mark Taylor nice! Rotten to the core, the 63mile option. Would also have joined you this Sun, but unfortunately I'll be in Jersey
Oct 11, 2019 at 04:00 PM
@RobertMullen @Mark Taylor did you guys end up signing up?
Oct 11, 2019 at 05:04 PM

Super early, but Reg is open for Rasputitsa and I think I'm going to sign up! Its at the end of my spring break/the day after my birthday and it sounds like a trip! Theres already ~500 folks registered so I'm going to try and get in soon.Â

I just signed up for the 100k (!!!) but it seems like way more people registered for the 70k now that I look at it. Is that the main event?Â

@RobertMullen I just signed up for the 100k, too!
Nov 15, 2019 at 04:59 PM
oh man, you guys are gonna make do this -- 100k is about 3 days longer of a ride than Farmer's daughter in the snow and cold!
Nov 15, 2019 at 07:00 PM
This looks awesome. If I was in any way fit or if I had a bike I would do this, but why is it $150 ? That seems extortionate for a bike ride.

@James Reeder @RobertMullen @eloy @PatrickGrehan following up to our conversation yesterday, I looked into room availability in my timeshare in nearby Smuggler's Notch (about 10 miles away) and there's plenty of it. Can you guys let me know how long you were planning on going for? Anyone else interested? We can get a large apartment that has a huge couch and plenty of room for sleeping bags (if that's how you roll). There's also a ton of room for bike storage (this is primarily a ski resort so the rooms have long hallways for stuff). I am thinking of going up there with the family starting either Wednesday or Thursday and going home Sunday morning. Anyone is more than welcome to join us for the whole stay or part of it. Just let me know when you're coming.Â

Excellent - thanks @RobertPeras !Â
Looks like 144 spots still left overall before the ride fills up.
70k or 100k? I've signed up for the 100k but can change entry to 70k on BikeReg.Â
As for getting there, I expect I'd head up on Friday and return on Sunday, but lots of flexibility at this point.

Yeah let’s decide on 70 vs 100! Like James, I’m signed up for the 100 already but am down to change if that’ll entice more folks.Â
Regardless, I think well get our money’s worth at any distance.Â

Signing up tonight for 70km
Dec 02, 2019 at 02:00 PM
70 km sounds like a good option. Btw I checked the location of the race and it's a bit further away from the timeshare than I thought (it's about 65 miles away). Just let me know if anyone is interested in crashing with us and I'll make sure I get a big enough room.Â
Dec 02, 2019 at 02:57 PM
Hmm I’ll probably want to scope out a place a bit closer to the startÂ
Dec 02, 2019 at 06:32 PM
*officially* changed reg to 70km
Dec 02, 2019 at 09:24 PM
I am "VERY TENTATIVELY" & "WILL CANCEL LAST MINUTE" registered for the the 70km.

Can we get a headcount of who might want to grab an AirBnB in Burke, VT? Trying to sort out how many beds are needed
Dec 03, 2019 at 03:35 PM
Yes from me for an AirBnb in Burke.Â
Dec 03, 2019 at 03:54 PM
+1 (but with all the caveats above)
