May need to call an audible in the morning - tmi but I could have used some chamois cream today.
Would love to join, but was out of pocket all day yesterday (first time Devil’s Kitchen … that sure was a hoot! Haha) so will prob do some z2 local if anyone feeling real bored and desperate.
I’ll in today, 8am GWB. See you there soon.
I'm out, have an awesome ride.
Any interest in a bear mountain ride in August?
I'm planning a century to Bear Mountain on August 31 (Labor Day Weekend). Edit to say I'll probably do this, but not 100% yet. :)
If I don’t go away that weekend I’ll get in on that.
Anyone riding Saturday morning after the race or instead?
Anyone riding Saturday morning after the race or instead?
I'm probably in for early bird Sunday special.
Tomorrow, Sunday Aug 4th - GWB NJ side 8am. I'd like to keep it civilized. Might be riding vintage steel with downtube shifters.
I’m in
Count me in!
Planning on it
Tomorrow 7am BB 8am GWB.
There is chance of rain, plan accordingly
Sorry. I’m 50/50 now
Big fan of the early starts , lucky ,so do plenty of others ,
Nice low road route taking in Bradley and Boxer donuts , Columbia climb back onto 9W. Lucas flatted ,Yang hung back and nursed him back,
hope you got home safe Lucas
What a day to forget my saddle bag and pump. Outside of Lucas's flat, fun times riding with friends including watching Matt a self professed "diesel" win the state line sprint and then fly up Bradley/Tweed with Jeff. Regrouped at Boxer and between bites of pastries and sips of coffee we speculated about pro cycling. After I remarked Roglic was a former champion downhill skier, Mark made a devastatingly dry British remark, "Oh is he?" with the straightest face. He let me excitedly confirm and after a minute gave a sly smile and Pat let me in on the joke. 🤦‍♂️

Made it home alright, Thanks for sticking around @David Yang
Rode 9W solo to the state line today and back and accidentally set my second best 90k time. Saw another Kissena on the opposite side of the road on the way out but not who it was.

Im seeing some social media photos of River Road and it looks like the storm messed it up pretty badly. Can anyone confirm?

Would like to ride with people tomorrow. Anyone up for the Sunday Kissena ride tomorrow?
Hi David, I can confirm that River Road is pretty heavily damaged. From what I've seen in news items it looks worse than the last time.

I'm planning on riding tomorrow. I'll be on the Jersey side of the GWB at 9:00. It looks like it will be a beautiful day for a ride!

For this Sunday: Thoughts on riding trails vs heading over the bridge?
Where da trails ?
Where da trails ?
I was hoping you knew!
I'd be down for something doable on a gravel bike
A few options off the top of my head:

Cunningham trails

Cross Bay Roubaix route

Old Croton Aquaduct
I was planning on Cunningham on Cross bikes on Sunday -- 8:30am on East Side Entrance.

Cyclocross is coming at the speed of light. Come join. LMK if you are.
Down to clown in Cunningham.
I’m a maybe for Cunningham , I’m probably going to ride my MTB where ever I end up going
