Windy day out here.  Alyosha will post pictures.
I started at 11am. It was awesome. Did a 70 mile solo hangover ride.
In lieu of an MLK Day channel I'll post here...

I am thinking of an 8am start at BB up to Piermont or Sparkilll tomorrow, back before the snow sets in at noon.

Holla if anyone's interested.
@Perlberg. You're on the wrong side of the river!

Headed out to tomorrow as well (MLK day).  Will drive from Brooklyn to Jersey side. (Unfortunately, can't leave Brooklyn 'til 10AM.)  Ride Tweed Bradley and back--roughly 2-1/2 hours.  Hope to just miss the snow.  Then drive back to Brooklyn.  I have room for up to three riders and bikes. Let me know what if you want to go at neilxross@yahoo.com
Okay. Cancel that. Sorry.  Riding in the Park with my son, and then on my own.
I am waiting to see what accumulation is like from the snow/wintery mix we're supposed to have coming out of the sky tonight.

in these temps you should be more worried about the snow/wintery mix coming out of your nose.

I'm thinking of heading out for a Sunday ride, but maybe starting a bit later to get a few extra degrees of warmth and some extra sleep. Maybe 10:30 or 11 AM at Brooklyn Bridge. Anyone interested? We can call this the bachelors ride.
hey mike - i'm interested, provided i can get a mid-morning hall pass....not an easy lift.   if i push too hard i might end up becoming a bachelor, unwillingly......
I may be encouraging MTB Riding on Long Island - allows the married men to ride early, but without freezing our nutz off.

Interest?

I would do it Saturday - I am sans car at the moment (unless the shop can fix it today) - I would need a ride. Where in LI ? time ?

Perlberg -- I'll probably join you on Sunday given that it looks as though it'll be warmer by then and, hopefully, any snow will have cleared.

Tito -- I am going to try real hard to grow a moustache like yours.  I have to believe that the benefits of additional upper-lip warmth outweigh those extra milligrams in weight.

Ragot; non-nut feeezage always preferable

What about a bachelor ride tomorrow instead?  Everyone busy Saturday?

Grace is outta town this weekend, so I'm free to RAGE!*

*and by "rage", I mean ride my bike in below-freezing temps like an idiot and get up early for church on Sunday.

@Eric- I would do MTB on Sunday. At the moment, it looks like I'm only free between 9 and 12:00 (maybe I can push a bit later 'til 1:00).  Did you have any time in mind? I'll see if i can move the schedule a little.  wher'd you want to go?  Greenbelt?

In for the Sunday bachelors ride.
I'm in for the sunday road ride.
KHAN!!!!!

M-Fing winter
I have to work sunday so might go out at 9am BB depending on the mess. Otherwise hitting the park
Jules,
I expected more from someone who grew up in Toronto.  It's well below freezing, so the snow flakes are fairly small and won't stick, Cars are blowing the snow off the road more than they're tamping it down.  The roads are already treated.  Chances are there won't be much in the way of accumulation and what accumulates will be cleared fairly easily.

Gymkata!
I've got the latest bug, grown and perfected by the pint sized immune systems of my offspring. Bummer.
I also have a cold from my offsprings which diminishes the chances of my ability to ride this Sunday but I'm not giving up yet.
I'm in for Sunday.

Think I'm gonna play it by ear for tomorrow, see if the roads look good - if I go, I'll aim for 8.30 at GWB.
if the conditions make it so that my bar tape doesn't get dirty, I'll come too.
your bar tape will definitely get dirty
