Prospect Park Weekday Morning Training
I'm assuming once more people come out, there will be a stronger/weaker groups that will split. Right now, I feel guilty of slowing the pace down. Even on the "easy" warm up lap with Bruce I had to ask him to take it down a tick.
Lessons learned week:
1. Get another computer to put on this bike to control efforts.
2. Consistency.
3. Buy bigger, possibly crabon fibre, lungs. I think Specialized makes them now.
4. Strong guys are strong.

Week 2 of PPWMT
Non-Battenkill:
Tuesday - Anaerobic efforts again. Warm up. then as you it the chute at the bottom of the downhill, go as hard as you can for 1 minute. Don't stand up to start it, stay seated. Try to be as strong at the end as you can. then ride SUPER EASY until you get to the base of the uphill. Then ONE MINUTE FULL GAS up the hill (same as last week). Use the full loop of the park to be getting two one minute efforts per lap. 4laps = 8 efforts. Good luck.
Wednesday - 2x2lap TT efforts.
Thursday - Do some sprints. rolling at 90rpm in a 39x17, sprint for 10-15s all out 3 times per lap on flat sections. Ride easy in between. Do 9-12 of these (depending on time)
Friday - openers
Sat / Sun - Race and Ride
Battenkill Participants
Monday - recovery or off
Tuesday - Ride for an hour or two. Nothing hard. Just enjoy the weather.
Wed - 2x2lap TT
Thursday - easy ride
Friday morning - openers
Good luck all.

Is there a pro way of doing it while pedaling? Snot rocket style under the armpit? Drive side? Domestique helps push you along?McKay Duncan said:i think first to actually vomit should get an award for effort
Still anaerobic.
Tuesday - time to have fun with repeats. Warm up and then go to the inner loop (go past start finish line and turn left to Center Drive). On Center Drive, do 8 repeats from the bottom by the containers. Go all the way to the top and stop before making it back to the main loop. Turn around, ride to the bottom and repeat. Do these as hard as you can - but be consistent. Choose a start and end landmark and keep track of your times. Vary gears to find if you are better mashing or spinning or both. - GOOD LUCK
Wednesday - 2x2lap TT. This is a fairly consistent workout for you, so embrace it.
Thursday - group ride, but when you get out of the chute at the bottom of the hill, line up in equal sized lines and practice 30sec all out efforts for a leadout. If you have 8 guys, try 2 lines of 4. See how far that takes you. Do this two or three times if you can. Remember to be safe. Regroup after each effort and see how it went. You'll want to be working on getting comfortable with each other as you're about to begin the whole lead out and chasing jersey portion of the season.
Friday - Openers
Saturday - L&C Cup (if you're not racing, but want to be Marshall Captain, please say so and earn free entry for the next race)
Sunday - Group Ride Folks....
