I'll be there.  the usual.  If people want, we can focus on the following day's race in Central Park and how to race smartly on the course.
I'll be there!!!
i will be there.  if i'm not, it's because i'm at the wrong meeting spot or i took a wrong turn en route.  i will be on the internal road on the E-W axis (West Dr.?) and at the tavern on the green location on the N-S axis (~W 66th St)

mugwump  - word on the street is part of the loop may be closed off at times for NYC Marathon prep but above 72nd should be open. Are you riding tomorrow ? My dad is gonna be working at the finish line, I was thinking of playing hooky from work and joining this week.
Josh,
For years, I've dealt with the PITA that is the finish line three days before  the marathon.  This year, I was considering going over the bridge instead.  But if you're coming, I'm happy to meet up.

The finish line is typically closed, but in past years, you've been allowed to get on the horse path for a few meters to skirt the closed roadway.

So, if you're game, we can try.  Let's meet up where the 72nd transverse crosses the west drive, on the inside.  11am.  Forecast is currently for rain, but a 65 degree rain.  EAsy to ride in.
Fenders going on now. See you there!
JP it sounds particularly bad. Rain makes us hard men but I am going to be risk adverse today and sit this one out. I'll email you as well
Back on.  Four laps. 11am by the old Tavern.

This.

Bad weather in CP means empty park.  As if I don't own it already.
So it's been a while.  I've been there all along, but a bit earlier, and cutting out sooner. (Fridays have been a duathlon for me--cycling and ice skating--but they're over)

I'm back!

11am by the old Tavern.
Four laps.  Mostly social.

I typically wait til 11:05

As rain is in the forecast, let me know if you're coming.

JP, I had to quickly look up the duathalon/biathalon difference.

For a minute there I thought you were skating around shooting stuff.
JP and I rode today, exciting first shorts and short sleeves ride of the year.

Anyone interested in CP morning rides?
