Prospect Park Weekday Training Sessions & Riding

we saw all kinds of oddness going on the last 2 nights.

on wednesday, lots of random salmon coming the wrong way down the uphill....and one of those po-po golf carts pulling people over and ticketing them.

then last night, on my first lap i found myself suddenly surrounded by a sketch crew of random cat 6'ers engaging in a "downhill only " bombing run.  now,  i'm supposed to keep the ticker on the low end these days, but i felt the safer option was to hit the jets to get a gap.  felt good to put out something more than 220 watts for a change - and all just to save my skin from the swerving fools!
Im shooting for 5-ish today.. openers openers openers
Slept in this morning so will be out around 7ish for openers.
@Jules I'm heading out the door now, riding until 2:45 or when the pollen become too much.
i have been aggressively employing my speedbell lately.
I'm still stuck inside...

Oh wait, wrong Khan...
I'll be there at some point in the next hour or two. Going slow. I just ate so. Much. Halal. Cart.
Stuck at work, so will be out much later (if at all).
will be there from 7 tonight for some slow recovery laps.
Hoping to be out there around 7 tonight for sprints.
will be there around 6, 6:30pm for some openers.
4:15 for openers for me
I might be out there with a friend around 6:15 or so.

I'm still recovering from a bout of FBF flu that knocked me on my ass yesterday, but I'll be out riding a moderate endurance / recovery pace today starting around 5:45.

I might roll out to that just to ride bikes.

Hey dudes - In about a week I'm moving back to Brooklyn for the summer (yes!) - are weekday morning training seshes still happening?
Tito - they sure are. There is a separate thread for PP Weekday Morning Training. Hope to see you out there.
I want to head out today for some enjoyably paced riding at around 4:30 or 5
I hope to be out by 5.
See you out there.
Googa Mooga is in effect. "Enjoyably paced" might have to be a loose term.
you'd better not hit me while i'm besandaled on my commuter en route to THE GOOGA's bike valet
Roger orange leader we have an affirmative GoogaMooga I say again a-firmative Googa (Click) orange leader do you copy? Orange leader? (Click) Sir, I think we may have lost another one...

Who decided to schedule Googa Mooga and BK half on the same weekend? (This is a question designed to convey disapproval).
Googa wasn't so bad. The volunteers and staff were pretty good about stopping people from crossing at the one crossing spot at the top of the downhill (Bartell Pritchard Circle? 15th St). And the staff was continually trying to push the line into the rec lane or hte grass to clear the rec lane. I think they are doing a pretty good job considering the people streaming into the park. By 6 or so, the stream had died down a bit too.

Anyone up for a ride this evening? Say 6ish?
i'll be there @ GAP to meet edwin for stem exchange at 6.  i might do rockleigh tomorrow so not sure i'll be doing much of an effort tonight.
Heading out there around 8ish for sprints drills that I missed this morning if anyone wants to join in on the wet 'n' wild fun.
