@Jules Re bringing it with the Star Wars costumes: Red 5 standing by the stoop!

And here's 4 hours of sweat and tears...

^those are fantastic!
The printing equivalent of double flatting out of the group in the last 200m of a race... 3.5 days into a 5 day print.

Considerably more than 4 hours of sweat & tears, but I'm hopeful it will all turn out...

Final (?) photos...

Since there's a black hole when it comes to finding out about bike touring for teens, I'm sharing an email I got from Apogee Adventures, a teen travel outfit that runs bike tours.  Oscar did one of their trips last summer.

They are coming to NYC to make a show for their trips.

Hi, Folks -

We wanted to take a moment to let you know about our in-person New York City presentation next Thursday, the 25th.

We would love to see you there, and per last week's email, we would appreciate it very much if you could tell your friends and colleagues. Facebook parent groups, neighborhood text threads, and group listservs are all great places to spread the word.

I will be in Manhattan at 101 Central Park West for a 7 PM presentation on Thursday, January 25

If you haven't ever been, our presentation is filled with great pictures, good information, and runs about 40/45 minutes. Kids are very welcome to attend. More than anything, perhaps, it's a great way to ask questions in-person and meet the people behind the trips.

Our Manhattan presentation is hosted by a fantastic Apogee alumni family - our host families are happy to answer questions about their family's experiences with Apogee, too.

You can RSVP for any of our Roadshow presentations here:

Thank you so much - hope to see you next week!

Best,
Chad

PS: If your family is not already enrolled for this summer, please be in touch about the best program for your child. When you're ready, you can apply here

Looking for trips for adults? Check out Parallel Adventures for great hiking trips to Spain and Portugal.

Pat mentioned it in the injuries thread and he's 100% right. I totally forgot to introduce everyone to my little guy Leo Ryder Budofsky-Oakes. He's still learning to sit up and move around but is quickly on his way to being the most opinionated cycling fan his age. He's watched the spring classics, the giro and the tour and had some strong opinions about Milan winning green, was mesmerized by Yates taking on the Finestre and like his parents, is a big Wout fan.

(this last one was watching Yates' final decisive attack and both going "I don't know mannnnnn, that's a long way to stay solo")
high level cuteness!!
