Speaking of which this thread probably needs to be renamed

Hey all, busted thumb, new kid at home so I can't race; I've got to do it vicariously.  I thought you'd all get a kick out of my three year old's preference for the cobbles.

Also, I took the crank & chain off my five year old's bike to turn it into a "like-a-bike" and she was flying "no feet" on the second day (so stick that in your back pocket if you miss the scoot-bike window like I did)

Jules, only after I rolled away, I realized I didn't properly congratulate you on the birth of your new beautiful baby in person! Doh! I owe you a bro-hug or something!
Thanks @Marc, bro hugs all around; what we really need is a spring social so we can all raise a pint glass... hmmm....
It's official. I love crack of dawn rides so much, I decided to take the next step in committing to the Family Man lifestyle. My wife and I are expecting our first in September! So this off-season, I'll be training with baby-weighted goblet squats and making the case for a silent Elite Turbo Muin trainer.
Congratulations! (The first one only makes you ride faster...)
Congratulations. Maybe family men needs to be changed to family thread.

Congrats Erika!
Congrats Erika! Welcome to the club!
Erika - great news and the timing couldn't be more perfect to bring him/her to the donut race.
Donuts! Never too soon to plot our revenge :/
Congratulations, Erika!
Wow! super great, Erika. Congratulations!
I'm not fully endorsing it -- but I've been known to mix a healthy post ride concoction of Hammer Strawberry Recoveright + Baby formula... Don't judge, nothing wrong with it at all.
In other news I finally got the kids seat rigged properly to the Aloominator... it's definitely tail-heavy now, but damn if it isn't fun...

Thanks everyone! Looking forward to bugging you all about child-related gear recommendations and making a balance bike the next n+1. And totally with you on the donut derby @Craig — and maybe this year I can get the missus sold on the team competition. Revenge is all in doubling the donuts.
This is what you gals/guys need for those TTs with your kids in tow.  Too bad I sold ours (photo below)  a few years back (after my wife judged it too dangerous to pull our infant son around in).

Family - friendly ride tomorrow; 7am BB depart. Home by 11, hungry as a bear or your money back.
I'm doing some spring cleaning. Any one need a device to hold a DVD player/ iPad in a car for back seat viewers? It attaches to the headrest of the front seat and then the device clamps in it. It adjusts for all sorts of devices. I have 3. One is out of the packaging and the other two in boxes. I and my son really liked it and we bought extra because over time parts break and they were cheap enough to buy a few as spares. Yours for the taking.
On the other end of the parenting spectrum . . .

My son just texts me just now to say he is listening to Eric Clapton, LIVE at Jazz Fest (in New Orleans where he goes to Tulane and probably should be starting to study for finals).

All I can do is gasp and put on an old Derek and the Domino's album.

Represent.  5BBT.

I guess I've punched my ticket...

Ryan - I love the OSMO water bottle in the background. Acute Recovery?
Congratulations Ryan. I'm glad baby and mom are doing well.
Woohoo! Congrats Ryan!
