Im in for the 123 tonite.
thanks mike.

aiming to get there for 6:30 tonight.  with salad dressing.
what time are people leaving? Wanna ride down from GAP?
@jeff ... what time are you thinking?  i am aiming to leave my office at 4:30ish which would put me near GAP at 5:15, 5:30.
I'm game to roll from GAP at 5:15.
i'll meet at 5:00/5:15 at GAP if others would like to.  plan on going warmup/endurance pace ride there; not trying to make it happen in < 45 minutes.

please respond here or text me below if you do want to meet up and commute together, otherwise i'll set out on my own on a route that will not go past GAP

My race isn't until 7pm so I was going to roll out a bit later. Anyone leaving later?
Mark and Brendan -- I'm down to roll from GAP at 5:15 if you guys are since we have the earlier start. Lemme know!
adam -- as a newly minted 4 i have the pleasure of a later, 7pm start.  so although i will try and be there a little earlier, don't count on me.

Congrats @Mark!  on upgrading..  see you on the course tonight.

Im leaving GAP at 5:55pm.
adam, let's meet at 5:00 at GAP.  where the farmer's market usually is, not on the interior triangle.  i want to proceed along bedford ave for a bit instead of flatbush.  because i value my life. http://goo.gl/maps/r4I7E

i'd rather do 5:00 than 5:15 in case one of us flats en route or some similar minor disaster and because i prefer a lukewarm warmup to a taxing one.  acceptable?
Ill be there tonight
@danielhubbard  I don't have a number yet, you think there will still be enough time for me to get there and race if I leave at 5:55pm? If so I'll join you.

For 6pm yup. Do it in 30 min max usually

ok Daniel I'll meet you at GAP at 5:55pm.

FWIW, I actually prefer the straight Flatbush route - Bedford is crazy narrow and the bike lane is a total death trap.

I'm with Tito -- Riding on Bedford gives a false sense of security, I think.
Adam and I rolling from gap at 5:05 fyi
I'll be there tonight as well.

speaking of false sense of security, it's a bit silly to think that one's keen racing instincts or desire to get to FBF quickly have anything to do with whether or not a driver slams their car into you.  if bradley wiggins can get hit by someone pulling out of a gas station in rural england, i wince to think of what might happen to the likes of little old me on busy flatbush with all those intersections and roadside bus stops. there's just not enough road there to share.  but maybe i've just been reading too much torts
Hubs: I'm going to look for you coming down flatbush by the BP if I get home from work quickly enough.
i'm in cat4's 5:45 from GAP/Library.

Someone please find me a tire or rear wheel in cab be there soon 774 219 4511 not a tube

umm sick KCC results across the board. 1st and 3rd in the 5s? 2nd and 3rd in the 3/4s? 7th in the 123s??

something like that. I sucked. but I raced hard.
Brendan is a boss. A double flat and busted tire en route was no match for him. Thanks to a dollar van and borrowed wheel later, dude wins.

Personally, my legs were dead and I struggled for most of the race. After getting caught behind a crash coming into the bell lap, I was left to work and try and catch the field. Almost caught the main break, but was about 15 seconds back at the finish.
1st and 4th in the 5s.  Slightly less impressive, but I worked for it!

A few serious break attempts, but they never lasted long.  I tried to trade a few pulls in 2 attempts, but the morning Ragot interval sessions fried my legs and I just didn't have it.  Everyone sat up the entire bell lap expecting a field sprint.  There was no way I could have contested it so I figured I'd jump from just before the final turn, make the two or three strong guys chase, leading out Rigby for the final sprint.  Should have figured he didn't need any help because by the time I started fading, the familiar wooshing sound of a passing rider was none other than Brendan with the other guys following him!  What a friggin boss.

Regardless of whether that little move actually helped Brendan or (most likely) not, it felt really good to get the jump on the field and roll in 4th.  Wish I could have muscled through just a little longer for a top 3 spot though.  Next time...before I upgrade...

@ David

from my perspective that was about as proper of a lead out as you'll ever see in the cat 5s.
