Rockleigh Crit - Thursday Night Race series

Manhattan based KCC racers, if you can get there on time, you absolutely HAVE TO get out and race Rockleigh once or twice. It's so worth it.

Childcare will keep me home most Thursdays unfortunately, but when I get out there, I find it a beautiful evening. Good tempo warm-up ride to the course. An hour of racing hard (instead of intervals on a trainer), bucolic active recovery ride home past homes well over 100 years old, finishing up with a quick trip down 9W when it's mostly quiet.

Gwynna...you want to get some crit experience before your big event. Head on out to race the Bs! It might be tough to hang in, but you'll get better for sure!

Brendan...check it out. You are as close as me!

I mean, we don't have dollar vans, but you will get the occasional regional bus service blasting by to give you a wind tunnel burst.
What time does it start?

1,2,3s at 6pm
4/5s at 7pm.

Some how got 8th last week after getting dropped from the group with 8 others and chasing for most of the race and honestly thinking it was never going to reconnect. Koop won again, and for some reason Alan Rego was racing in a plain kit and his old champ sys bike, maybe because of the threat of rain? Anyway, felt like slow fat crap.

Weather today looks perfect, I'll be racing in a retro kit, because why not. Racing the 123 at 6, then sitting begind the 4/5 group for motorpace practice.

Rego is going to Lupus... that's the word on the street.
