Bump!
BUMP!

We haven;'t talked about this in a while. I know it isn't far away--figure you're all double-secret training so you can pretend it's both too far and then humble-brag when you crush Perkins.

so:  Sunday, February 9, 2025

meet at the GWB at 9am.  Have a blast riding long and hard with Kissenistas and select guests as we go long for a great time.

Who is joining me?
Sadly I'll be out of town that weekend.

I'm most likely to make it.
You know I'm all in (outside of inclement weather).
Ditto
I'll probably join
I'll be there in spirit, but am unfortunately a no go this year
@Matt Budofsky any news yet?
Still waiting, but looks like it'll probably happen tomorrow or Thursday!
Watching the weather carefully, looks like a week of precipitation and overnight freezes and a good chance of morning precipitation on Sunday.
Yup. Saturday looks slightly better for now?
Honestly the weather forecast don't mean anything this far out , its not like its a science or something :p

All I know is I shoveled and salted the sidewalk and walkway to the house this morning and by lunch it was as if it never snowed.

Goodspeed, gentlemen!

FWIW, I'm open to doing it either day.  I realize that hall passes might have been negotiated and coordinated, and, as such, can stick to the proper day.

I started writing the post below before I saw the prior posts about the possible snow on Saturday night. So I edited it to add a bit about an alternate.

The forecast for the Super Bowl ride looks dry and chilly. That's the good news. See graphic below

However, the current forecast for Bear mountain (and areas south including Piermont) is for several inches of snow Saturday night into Sunday morning. At best, this may just means that Perkins will be unpassable (something that has happened in the past) but it may also mean that the roadways will along the route will sloppy and wet. Let's keep an eye on the forecast and hope this changes.

This is what the same ride looks like on Saturday in case we decide to switch days:

What would the 'GWB meet time' be?
In 2022 and 2023 we met at the GWB at 9am and in 2024 it was 8am. Sorta depends on weather and the group consensus (note that the above weather predictions are based a 9am start at GWB)
I continue to see forecasts of snow Saturday night: 9 inches in Bear Mountain and 6 inches in Piermont. I don't think Sunday will be possible.

Who is willing/able to head to Bear Saturday?
I'm up for Saturday
Saturday looks better for sure, I am 50/50 whether I can join at all this weekend, but a little more likely for Saturday.

8am BB - 9am GWB
I'm a maybe for Saturday.
I can do either/both.
I’m in
Do we have a decision on this yet ?
For Saturday, anyone willing to start earlier if we're heading to Bear?
I can't make Saturday and would find Sunday too sketch seeing the weather projections
Racing CP with a finish around 8am & planning to swing by home for a quick change and stock up. I will struggle for an earlier than 9 start.
Kevin, you're a beast.

I'm going to join and see how far I make it.
