Central Park Week Night Rides

I was on Niall's wheel where I had a front-row seat (saddle?) to the raccoon train walking past and then slowly one turned back and NOOOOOOO
Ground control to Major Tom...
Sorry john, by the time I left work you were probably on your 4th hill repeat.
Got off work too late and have to ride in the dark. Next week. maybe 7:30??
No worries guys. Good to keep it a regular time each week, does 7:30pm work better for everyone?
7p still works for me, yesterday was just a really late day in the office.
7:30 works better for me but I think my attendance will be irregular regardless
Bump for the Manhattan squad. I can't make it tonight, but looks like the rain might hold off...
7 or 7:30 WFM. Anyone else in?
sorry guys, need a rest day today for sunday marathon.
Sorry guys, technical issues.
Will arrive in park between 7 to 730ish. Anyone going to be there? 774 219 4511
Brendan I'm planning to join in on Thursday night.
Planning on being there
David can you lead Thursday night? (I'm going to OK Go concert :B).

7p tomorrow at Tavern on the Green?
WFM
Alrighty Manhattanites, I will be waiting at the Tavern by 7p. If you miss the meetup, we will warm up with a lap or two and then hit the short hill loop if you want to catch on in the middle.
Sorry guys, something has come up at work and I have to last minute bail... will txt david. hopefully see you at weekend.
NP will wait up for any lurkers. Road is partially closed, some kind of accident down the road from tavern.

On that note, saw a woman in a red convertible Audi A5 drive the wrong way within park on the east side getting here. FFS.
Thanks David spinning up four more hh after five of your own. getting darker and darker now. will see next week
Good riding with you Tim! At this rate you'll be super strong for next year and breeze through the cat 5 races.
BTW I like that Brooklyn and Queens residents were the only ones that showed up for the weekly Manhattan ride. Just saying!
I have a feeling Central Park is going to be tough going for a while. Cops pulled me up each lap to advise me they are going to be targeting "you guys". They were super nice abput telling me I can only wear one headphone though. They also said they didn't want changes to the park rules, but when someone is put in coma, they have to be seen to act. Suggest we all yield in the cross walks even if we have right of way and maybe stick to Harlem Hill loop/GW for a while.

On Friday on West Drive, Shahjahan Talukder, a food-cart vendor, said that just before the accident he heard someone yell, “Move!” When he looked up, he saw a woman lying in the street.

“Who’s right, who’s wrong,” he said, “I don’t know.” But, he added that he had seen accidents on the road before, and worried for pedestrians. “The bikes are crazy. They should close bikes here.”

The woman now seems to be in "critical condition" rather than brain dead. That's progress at least.

And the perp rode 9000 miles year to date? Wow.

Is it cool to invite non-Kissenas to this? Matt Nahoum is a 'crosser looking for some night laps. I only know him from the NYC 'Cross FB page, not in real life, but I think he's a legit dude.
Absolutely!
Forecasts for rain and the assumed ongoing crackdown on cyclists in Central Park means I'm sitting out this week.
anyone riding tmr night? will be there with rockstar friend around 6 30. HH.

there are less cops from last night, so hopefully it will be the same tmr.
Sorry Tim, I'm out this week. Remember to be courteous to other park users and sprint in the drops. Oh and don't forget your water bottle this time!
