I've avoided riding in CP in the evenings this year because of the crowd and police harrasment etc. I'm curious tho do you still stop (or expected to stop) at red lights at night? Assuming no pedestrians in sight? That would impact my decision to ride.
New members Margaret and Ryan and myself road some easy laps, discussed CP group riding skills and hammered out 4 Harlem "kill the hill" loops before calling it a day. Two new diesels join the club, some impressive power there. Erika missed the boat. Will post some early morning rides for next week 6am Tuesday/Weds. Go CP Kissena!
Sorry, work has been erratic. I've been getting there later lately, if at all. Scheduling issues likely to continue. Glad to hear we're assembling a CP crew though!
Good ride this morning, intervals and a "catch Alyosha" doing his 20 min efforts. Scott is the latest addition to Kissena Diesels™.
Planning on Tuesday and Wednesday 6am's next week. Chime in if there's a better morning that works for you, would be great to have a few more people out.
Lastly, don't forget Thursday night Tavern @ 7pm and JP's classic Friday morning ride (see separate thread for deets).
Good times tonight with big John, Niall, Rigby, Tim Wang, and Phil. John drilled us on hill repeats and ate tons of wind leading us out with each successive faster lap. Great to see Tim holding his own. Phil, you looked super strong, just in time for cross season!
One sad note, on our last lap after John left, Niall was doing his usual diesel pace setting at the front when a family of raccoons started crossing the path. He managed to avoid two but hit the third. Luckily Niall stayed upright and didn't suddenly brake so the rest of us stayed upright as well. Poor raccoon friend...
