AL TOEFIELD MEMORIAL ROAD RACE

Excellent job all!
Jeff, great result. You are basically racing against cat 1s and 2s.
The buckle on the right shoe of my older shoes is broken, and my brother's shoes are two sizes too small. I really regret that I won't be racing tomorrow. Now, A few know I have placed in the top 10 wearing a sneaker (forgot to bring both shoes)...but that was Cat 5...

Who are you trying to convince here C-Raf, us or you??

Should have raced.  Flip-flop.
Fantastic results all around guys.  I sucked giant hairy donkey balls today at FBF.  Need more sleep, EPO.
Nice job in the 123 and masters.  Way to go.
How are you doing Lenny? Recovered from crash?
Good times this morning....happy Jeff made the break.  I looked at the results and I think the bridging Axis guys got caught in no-mans land between the break and the field.  It was fun watching Mike go by in the 1-2-3 break and then seeing J.P. ride by solo trying to hold off the field for a place.  I don't know how the crash happened in the masters field...I was directly behind it and had to come to almost a full stop and go around the downed rider, who was a big dude & I'm glad he didn't take anyone down with him.  yacks
The crash was reportedly Johan taking out his frustration on Major Taylor. If the story I heard was accurate, he should get suspended. except that his brother was running the race and therefore may have had a bit of sway over the officials.
I didn't see it. I was in a different race. I would also like to say that I like the Burrowes brothers and how they support cycling in our community.

That said, I think what Johan did was completely uncalled for. The rider he took out was a Major Taylor racer who I suppose was blocking for his two teammates up the road (one of which eventually won). This is a quote from Podwill that I found on facebook:

"got crashed out on purpose at 30+ mph by an opponent who was frustrated that we were working him over....very lucky that's all there was....bike survived it too. Accidents happen in bike racing but to cause one out of frustration is not cool....not to mention someone else could have been badly injured. A USAC report has been filed we'll see if he gets suspended."

Here's a picture of Johan from the race. If it's true, it's disgraceful and I'm sure that his brothers, friends, and fellow cyclists will talk to him about it.
Finish of 123 & Masters:
