We finished the season today in Kings Park in a highly competitive field....you know the routine - a field of 51, line up, and GO!! Harry, Phillip, Rick, and I got in the mix early. The course was unlike any other I had ever done at this venue. Tons of twists & turns, and plenty of opportunities to ride right off the course. It favored the power rider to be sure. We went six laps, and most of the field stayed fairly tight. At the end of the day, I crossed in 19th, Harry 25th, Rick 29th, and Phillip at 44th. All very respectable finishes in a very difficult race which offered zero opportunities to rest....Harry's rolled tire didn't help either! It was a great way to finish the season. As I said on my Facebook post, I am proud to be Kissena, and was so happy to have been able to finish the season with friends.

ALL Kissena rode well, especially our sage davidS, as he came on strong in last (2)laps powering up ea. short sharp climb to pass me after 1st crash&chain drop then again as i over cooked 90d turn &rolled front tire&chain drop, rick had a couple mishaps as well w/chain drop&crams yet still finished strong! Phillip, held tight to our second group for 1st 2laps(2.33mi), but may have cooked it early as the cramp grabbed him in later laps as well...in all a good days work!

Just makes Louisville2013 look even better in comparison I suppose.  I just paid up for a subscription and I'm wondering if there are ANY hills?

It was actually a good race with the tactic of letting people tire themselves out as VanDerHaar and Nys made their way to the front. Boring terrain though.

Looks like Canadian Mike made it without getting pulled; better than Durrin, which makes him the #1 North American at the race, out of two :P

There is one from Sat. Of what appears to be Don Myrah's Ibis which may answer the question. Peanut butter d/n begin to describe it. Not really Roger's strength. See photo of Myrah and German guy who went 1-2. Both probably have Roger by 40 lbs.
Horses for courses! Paul Curley got 13th in 55 race and he is a mudder, but a small guy. Very hard to continually put down those kind of watts without being larger guy.
