Marc, what were you expecting?

a) To get any booster effect, you need at least three burritos, and then you need to use the booster when exiting a turn, not while entering or negotiating the turn, because then it gets counterproductive.

b) To annihilate your opponents by asphixiation, you must have a pack behind you, not ahead.

Still, after reading you, I can tell you Penny is not the only one who thinks you did great (OK, I would not have leaped all over you, baseball and soccer players do that but not cyclists).
Marc - WOW.Great race/great read.Your crit reports are awesome.
that was pretty awesome

nicely done, marc
Great report Marc; my guts ache just reading it.
A pic:
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaarc! Nice.

Looking at the guy's skinsuit, I was reminded of Cav's attire on Sunday. Seems like more teams are going with super aero kits, even for long road races. Do those things have any pockets at all, or do only select riders wear them b/c they have all the other domestiques grabbing bottles/food for them and they'll never need to use pockets anyway? It also seemed like he had a clear covering over the vents on his helmet. I guess it wasn't that hot, so he opted for the additional aero improvement? Ah, more junk for amateurs to purchase. Where's my saran wrap...
did the organizer's give you a prize for "oldest bike in the race"?
Jeff,
I've been interested in Cav's skinsuit. Considering the pretty unique 3/4 sleeves, my guess is he had pockets, though he probably had gregarios take bulky things like a vest or long sleeve jersey. Yes, super-sleek tops have been becoming more common, and probably for hte same reason Cav' used one--the "marginal" improvements can really add up to something over a long race.
After two weeks of travel, cold and general work-insanity... how sweet it was to unbox this baby after dinner!
wowzers!!!! As the kids would say, I'm "mad jealous"
HOT! You better win a race on that rig it's so dope.
This bike is *so* out of my league... I just need to gain about 40 pounds and throw on a Livestrong jersey now...
"The Pork Chop Express"
Hahahaha. Whatever! OWN IT, BABY. If you got it, FLAUNT IT. Go gurrrrrrrrrrrl
I like yellow things
I'm in a relatively small class and I do believe the professor heard me utter "holy shnikies" at that one.
The Yellow brakes are awesome on that bike.
Go on then, what are the specs on it? Are those not road wheels (no idea about cyclocross but don't think I have seen too many deep rims on the bikes)?
Why does this seem so sleazy?

Did you say sleazy?

"repeat: I urgently need add'l letters of support 4 my sentencing! Situation = desperate! Msg me thru http://goo.gl/0c9tR for details plz RT"

Ooooooh, that's rich.
Can I send a note to the judge in regards to how he used his "wife" and his alleged efforts to get her out of Cuba to try to chisel money from acquaintances shortly after he got popped for doping? Maybe I shouldn't. That would be petty. He was only begging for money to pay coyotes who were holding her somewhere, he just couldn't say.
pimping.
much nicer than my FTB will look.
ta da
Blue housing on a black red and yellow frame??? To match your park tools stand.
Kissena blue runs deep
Seriously, with all that mismatching stuff, you gotta complete the ride with pink bar tape and maybe a turquoise saddle. I have some you can borrow:
I have a bedazzler you can borrow and some leftover rhinestones.. they'll really complement the turquoise saddle well.
What is base?
How do you measure it?
Does it have units?

As the season winds down and my weekly volume shrinks like a frightened turtle, I wonder... How much base do I have?

How much do I need?

Is Base the flogiston of modern training?
Do you mean phlogiston? Where have I put my message board dictionary?
I can't believe none of you crossresults.com trolling cross nerds have done this yet. But in the spirit of nerdy power wars, I present to you the Kissena Hot List as calculated by our favorite time wasting Svengali-like website.

For those of you not familiar with the this website, they use math and shit to come up with numbers that correspond to how awesome you are. Because no race is the same, and much depends upon the "quality" of your competitors, a podium spot in one location may not be worth as much as a top 10 at another race. And in general, the higher the category you race, the lower (i.e. the better) the points you will earn. Or more simply put, a cat 4 win is NEVER going to rank as high as an Elite race placing.

So, as of now, here's the list of Kissena crossers in 2011 (apologies if I missed anyone or miss typed, or whatever, It's late at the end of a long day where I had, among other delightful adventures, a bitchy nurse yell at me on the phone, because she thought I made a mistake, except that I didn't, because I actually can read military time and it was actually her mistake.)

Anyway, I digress. I expect to see some shake-ups in these rankings this weekend. Solid performances at Granogue will certainly score high quality points:

307.64 Partland, JP
316.66 Ragot, Eric
404.13 Feehan, Jim
