That sprint was interesting actually. At 500m to go some jokers decided that the yellow line-rule didn't apply to them so 4 or 5 guys moved up. I was on the far left waiting of the road to open up at 200m and some guy tried to get my line and push me off. For the first time in a sprint I used my elbow to hit him and leant on him until he moved off. It worked as I kept the space I wanted and had room to accelerate.
@Jeff Condon - no upgrade, I'm on 19 points for the season. There were only 50 starters at this race so 4th place only gets 4 points. If there had been one more (therefore the field was 50+) I would have got 6 points.
@josephmueller - this race was plenty aggressive in the 4s, and the 3s I think (Vlad said that there was a break that got away after 30 miles and lasted for another 50, getting caught at the 500 m mark!). After the final ascent in my race, with 10 miles to go over rollers, that's when the attacks kept coming. Then in was a case of block, bridge, chase, repeatedly. There was one guy in my field who got away at 9 miles to go and stayed away until 3 to go. There was a head wind making that move really hard, but fair play for trying!
