It'll be open through this coming weekend and perhaps labor day but if everyone that voted in the poll as of now has ordered we'll close it Thurs, Aug 31 so that the order can go in before the long weekend.
I was about to order some CX tires from Redbeard and we were wondering if anyone else wants to order tires right now for CX season.  It is better for them to order more than just my lonely two tires at a time.  I selected 2x33mm Vittoria Terreno Mix TNT tires.  If interested reach out to Redbeard, they're hoping to have a couple other people order at the same time.

I don't know if there are plans to do another equipment order a la that last group order, but perhaps now would be a good time for that too, for CX season, if it is to be done?  I bet Redbeard is going to get hammered with orders for CX tires in the next 60 days.
We will post an announcement about a group buy very soon. The format will be a little different from this spring, but will give club members a chance to get great deals on CX and winter tires. Take a moment to think about what tires you will want for the coming season and look on the forum (and your inbox) for a formal announcement

The Kissena-RedBeard Fall Bulk tire order is coming!

Need tires for the Fall/Winter? RebBread and Kissena are organizing another bulk order. Get team pricing on any tires from Vittoria, Specialized, Challenge, Continental or Clement. Tubes also.

You can choose any tires you want from the above manufacturers. This is a good opportunity to get CX tires, but you can order any tires you may need (road, gravel, mountain, etc.).

Start making your list and place your order by September 10th. An order form will be posted soon. I'll send out an email when it gets posted.

How much will tires cost? You will get team pricing which is always a good discount compared to other shops. If RB get lots of orders for any specific tire they will work with the distributors to offer even better pricing. Ordering in bulk makes it easier for RedBeard to meet our needs and pass on savings.

As always, remember to support the shop that supports our club.

P.S. for those members who live outside NYC, RedBeard can mail your order (tires or otherwise) to you for a reasonable fee.
A reminder that the ordering window for Stages is open now for the CX season. Only 2 of the 7 that expressed interest in the poll have placed their order on the google sheet. Please be sure to fill in your name with the product info here:

It will be open through after Labor Day weekend. I know a few people may have some outstanding questions about compatibility with Ilya who is currently travelling.

I know there are good discounts on POC octal helmets at Redbeard. And I know they come in team orange. And that they have MIPS and all kind of safety features. And that many in the club have them and love them. That is all great .... but I don't like them, and so the question is - do we get discounts on all helmets at Redbeard ?

Nearly all helmets make my head look huge. Bigger than huge actually. So I need something low profile (Lazer, Kask protone, etc).

Get a POC.
What Eloy said.

But to answer your question: we get team pricing on everything at Redbeard, but we get an extra special deal through POC. correct me if I am wrong @Craig Zolan

Dude, it can't look huger than Jeff's. Embrace your giant noggin.
@ian

lets face it, all helmets make us look like this guy.

The good news is you don't have to look at yourself while you are riding. Only your friends know how dorky you look. The POC helmets are really comfortable.

If you cringe whenever you do a cycling selfie then you can get a non-POC helmet using the team discount at RedBeard. BTW i still get Rudy discount emails (our prior helmet sponsor) if you want tot go retro-Kissena. LMK if interested
@ian ellis i don't care what helmet you wear , it would just be nice to see you on the road
As a person who is afflicted with "wide dome syndrome" and needs to wear a large helmet, I also dislike POC since it tends to *look* bigger than other comparable helmets.  However I put it side by side with my old Rudy Sterling helmet and realized the dimensions are nearly identical.

With that said, I'm not totally sold on the POC style and would be interested to read what other helmets Ian finds.

Hello Kasia!

I'm not able to (quickly) determine what the "Was" POCs look like. Google challenged, I guess. Can you help me with a link or a picture or something?
Thanks Mark.
