I'm heading up to Graham Hills Park to ride their MTB trails on Saturday morning.

I'll be riding my cross bike.

It's 45 minutes and $9 from Grand Central.

Anyone interested in joining me?
I might be interested. What time are you thinking about (dept and return).
leaving nyc between 8 and 9

prob 2 hours on the trails, some lunch then head back between 12 and 1
DO IT STOKES!
Shit, this looks like fun. I can't do it this weekend but I'd love to head up there another time. Maybe next weekend if anyone's interested.

William, give us a report on how it goes on a cross bike.
Sounds awesome. Nice park, I was up there last March. I will be game if you go back at some point later  (I can't ride for a few more weeks because of my hand).

Crap, buggers to the new forum...I used to get everything to my email box...now I gotta click a star...but if someone starts a new thread, I won't know about it, unless I...cripes...whatever, well, I've clicked this thread/star, so be sure to post here for more fun time announcements.
shh marc . . . shhhhhhh

come trail riding with us this weekend
Monday morning. Leave Brooklyn at 8am to go top still well woods. 9 am at the woods. I am going, Jim Nelson and perlberg too. Sanossian well meet us.

I can carry two others. If Jim drives, he has room for three more.

Anybody?
If we get more folks I'll drive. Otherwise I'm sitting in Luka's booster.
I'll go if Jim drives
how was it?

i cobbled together a proper MTB up here in Dutchess county.  Rode past two days.  So much fun.
We overcame a tech failure to have a great ride across the wash plane of LI. Some really fast single track with a few twisty bits thrown in. A good way to spend a cold day.

damn

can't wait to do it with you guys
I'm heading up to Graham Hill Park in pleasantville tomorrow.

Awesome trails. About 45 minutes from gran central. I'd leave on either the 738 or 838 from GCT only I'd board at Harlem 125st.
GWB tomorrow is the better  option. It;s gonna be a party!
@DC - what do you suppose the conditions are like after all the rain?
No problem. The park is on a hill, so the water will either run off or sink in. Some of the trails are pretty rough though. Lots of crashing and broken components last time we were there.
You really think so Stokes?

Only one trail (that new gnarly downhill) was bad. The rest was Very cross bike able.

I'll be driving up tomorrow am from the upper west side. Room for two more if we remove wheels/lower seat posts.

Leaving around 830.

Let me know if you guys want a ride.
I definitely think that there were a number of broken components: shifter, brake handle, chain, my wrist. . .

haha

components, yes

though, that was more to do user error and general chugulugishness than to the ferocity of the terrain

today, it was damp and slick and WOW it was about 10x harder

i'll be going back next saturday

psyched
Hey,

Been diddling around up near my moms house on the trails behind Stewart Airport. Would love to join yall Saturday!

right on

i'm bringing a few college buddies up there on saturday

we will have a posse
I'll probably make it -- depends on whether my MTB tire holds air. I'll know for sure tomorrow night.  If I am going, I can take two riders and bikes with me from Park Slopey area and back.
Okay.  I'm in.  Anyone need a ride up (and back)?

I'm going with Willy.

Just some dudes gettin' rad.

Man that was fun - and hecka hard.  The CrossCheck and I did not perform admirably...I gained a new appreciation for MTBs and disc brakes today.
^looks like fun!
