I am disappointed that there isn't a pink leader's jersey for the masters, and a red sprinter's jersey, just like the Giro. I could get behind joining the master's field to get my backside handed to me by the likes of James Joseph, but I can certainly deploy my experience in somebody's leadout for this.

I'm very excited about this.

Perhaps you can jump in here with an opinion. I have no doubt we can do VERY well as a team during a master's park race series. However, I also know that we've had some VERY nice results in the 1/2/3 races in 2012 as well and I expect that we'll get a few more in 2013 as well.

What do our sponsors want? Do they care about old-guy race results? Do they care about results at all?

Masters is a good consumer demographic for sponsors...we have $$$ and realize we can't take it with us = SPEND !  As for my avatar Tito...where is the confusion???...the pop tart is a nod to my preferred pre-race PED, the cat symbolizes my climbing prowess, the little explosions are popped riders I'm passing and the rainbow is the spectrum of light I leave in my wake...pretty straight forward stuff.. yack-fu

Overall probably.
But, if we try for sprint, I can probably nail that - KOM even too. It sometimes takes me a couple of laps to warm up, but I think I'll be going ok to challenge for any of these jerseys. I'd like to get one to be able to hold my head up around Perlberg and Malcolmson and their collection. And Yacks and Reiners...

To go for the overall in 5 or just get on with it and upgrade to 4............I think I know the answer to this already :-)

No cat 5 overall in charlies races I'm pretty sure.

I'll make it even easier for you:

Is the Category 5 division part of the overall series? 

No.  The Category 5 division is for entry-level cyclists and racers are expected to upgrade.  In the past so many racers were upgrading before the series ended that the final results were not a true indication of who was the best Category 5 racer.
