Just to chime in regarding Marks assessment of Jim Stafford, he's definitely a strong rider and a super nice guy. He once found himself in a massive Kissena Big Mac at Bubble Cross when we we took spots 1, 3, 4, and 5. He got second but only after having to seriously work to make it past three of us. We had a good chat and laugh about it afterwards.
Wow, having just paid a little attention to the the deets that Dieter has posted about this race as I was about to register, it looks like the Cat3 and Cat4 fields are going to be amalgamated into the same race. They have identical start times and the Cat3 registration is limited to 40 riders, the Cat4 to 70.
It's not a climber's race - Andy you could have a big impact.
From a team perspective we could potentially handle it somewhat like we did Purgatory with a protected guy saving for the final climb; a second protected guy looking for a key attack near the end, and a bunch of others rotating covering breaks, or chasing should the need arise.
