can't get childcare straightened out. Ugh. I'm looking ahead and I see a few Tuesday in July, like the 10th and 17th, might be good for this thing.

Good call on the professional development. Though that's not the issue, he's out attending a high school graduation (he's got some older friends). Madeleine was going to be mine for the day, though the backup just arrived.

I thought the follow car supplying artisanal truffles was a bit much, but Moser, Induran and Jens Voigt (who joined us) seemed to appreciate them.

So, like the plan said last year, I am doing this again next week, en route to my wedding !
Weather permitting, I ride Thursday May 23rd.
Open invite to anyone daring enough to join me. Leaving Long Island City between 6:30 and 7am. Riding 120ish miles up to Old Saybrook CT. See above for details on all that is a Chicago dog and why Lt Dan loves them. Truancy from work encouraged.

Tuesday 6/25/13. I'm setting up to do a ride that is potentially 110-120 miles from my place in Harlem.
Ride from here to Ringwood over Skyline drive, to Harriman, across seven lakes drive to the Bear Mtn Bridge, and down the east side of the Hudson, much of it on the Trailway back to the city.
Maybe not fast, but probably brisk to get in all the miles.
Leaving here between 9-9:15am. Hopefully back by 4pm.
People can cut out at Sloatsburg and take NJ Transit back. Or once crossing the Bear Mtn Bridge, can take Metro-North back from any number of spots.

Thanks guys. I went sailing on my birthday Friday, rode to Astoria from Sunset Park, then did 115 miles in the Gunks yesterday with my girlfriend. It was an athletic weekend. And, while on my bike, had a couple of shout-outs from Kissena members walking by - I met Josh in Astoria when I was getting home late from the Gunks. That's always nice, and makes me feel at home.
