Style police asks for immediate removal of valve covers and addition of out-front computer mount.  

John - out front computer mount isn't easy for the aero bars. I'm about to order a 3D printed mount to solve for that.

John not having used any power prior to the garmin I have nothing to compare it to. Works well every time, I've had no issues. Out front mount won't work with the bars. I'd prefer to use one as I'm not totally comfortable with those flimsy rubber bands holding it on right now.

Wow Chi thats interesting. will look at my stem this evening to make sure it will work. pretty cool the way you can mount your go pro also for rec and group rides. Appreciate the info.

This is actually my rental in Italy, they pulled it out of the shop window for me, hence the Orange sticker on the  tube, extolling the virtues of the frame.

so my usual bike is the tmr01, the time was sold to fund a TT rig

Here is " mang' boue" my first ever cross bike with 9 speed Ultegra taken from my old steel Bianchi. I got some parts through Ebay like these CX50 cantilevers and Apex crankset. It's not the lightest bike but it's quite upgrade-able.

Speaking of new bikes, I have a question about insurance.  I have a renters policy through State Farm, which protects my bike in the apt.  Naturally, I'm at risk of breaking / losing / theft outside the apt than inside.  Any suggestions on what type of insurance, or insurance companies, who will insure bikes while on the road or racing?

BTW, I did ask State Farm to insure the bike under a Personal Article Policy, and they said it would be ~$400/yr (for a $4,000 value ... I've insured my computer, camera equipment, jewelry, etc. for much much less that 10% of insured value).  I did think that was a bit steep, but not sure if that was to be expected ....  

We looked into this as well Scott; tldr is that it was cheapest easiest to put it under the personal policy.

USAC does offer some insurance you might want to look into.
