Just finished building up a new training bike. Used 2014 Specialized Allez frame, Shimano 105, Powercranks, Assioma powermeter pedals. The most tricky part of the build was pressing in a BB30-to-BSA adapter so that I could use an old Shimano octalink threaded cartridge BB.

BB30 to threaded makes me weak at the knees.

I'm impressed with the TA rings.  And the powercranks attached to them.  Do they make the miles longer?

@mugwump I feel that powercranks do make the miles feel longer simply because my cadence is quite a bit lower, which is why I have a 44 inner ring.  
I can do 35 miles on them at the moment. I had a goal of Piermont and back this year, but that is probably a 2021 target now.

The Lightweights are just for the photos. They are the only wheels I have that fit, and I am going to sell them. I plan on some H Son Plus/Shimano wheels, but they are still just a pile of rims, hubs and spokes at the moment. I'll hopefully get them laced up this week.

Although the cranks weigh about 4 lbs for there is a case for fitting the lightest wheels possible.

Yes, this is a Soul Cycle indoor bicycle.

For complete transparency, I am now employed by Equinox Media, where I'm in charge of the Variis app (where you can stream workouts by Equinox, Pure Yoga, Soul Cycle and others) 

The bike is solid af, by Stages, using their power meter (the "frame" is built by Giant). Resistance has to be adjusted manually. The tablet only has Soul classes now, but eventually we'll create other type of cycling classes, and maybe even allow zwift.

Years ago, there was a story that DeRosa's US importer was pushing him to put two sets of bottle cage bosses on his frames.  he was resistant to the idea.  he allegedly asked 'don't you have a fountain in every town?'  Back then, most of us were afraid we'd be denied service in stores because of our cycling gear.

@mugwump Ah Yes. Riding with a single bottle cage and replenishing the bottle at the village water fountain is as Italian as hanging your bike helmet over the stem ever time the road tilts upwards.

After a bit of hemming and hawing I finally jumped on board the Crux train! I'm really enjoying this thing. I've only taken it out on 3 rides, but it really rips on the trail.
Right now it's mostly stock with Crank Brothers Eggbeater 3 pedals and the tires set up tubeless (which btw, only took one try with a regular track pump 🙏🙏🙏). I'd like to toss a power meter on there at some point and maybe some race-y wheels for CX but for now it's the nicest thing I own.  

Nice bike! @RobertMullen can you fit shorts in that saddle bag? Something thin to put over bibs in case I take a train back from a ride.

Haha you might be able to squeeze some in there! It's not actually that roomy. I think it's from Blackburn? This one has a tube, levers, a hand pump and a multi tool. 

I have been looking for a caad 10 as a winter bike for quite a while and suddenly this one appeared instead. I need to change the stem and get rid of the triple. I took it out today and felt like Cipollini until Strava proved me I was not.
