Yes, tights w/ chamois is easier/faster, but can't ride them multiple days in a row.

Summer shorts under a no chamois tights is more realistic.

Also, worth mention, this is one area where people vary wildly, what works for one person might not worth for another. ymwv

I suspect these are too long for me but anyone about my height ever try on the Longs?

@jim_nelson - I think we're about the same height. The long version of the razor is the same length as the regular bib shorts. I actually have the razor in both standard (read: very short) and long (normal length). I bought the regular first and found them too short so I got the long version.

In that case,  Jules I'll take the used pair (cause I roll like that).

Brendan, tights with a chamois need washing to frequently. I always try and wear some regular bibs underneath.

Nice!  I prefer our current "classic" kit look, but I'm also kind of a curmudgeon.  The colors/pattern reminds me of the old Garmin Transitions kit.

I like the refreshed look. Can we make this happen?

It's nice but I feel its a bit derivative of a lot of current kits. 

Nothing keeps a cyclist warmer in the cold dark winter months than a good old fashioned kit-design flame war

FWIW to those whose bodies, like mine, don't seem to fit any one size of warmers: in my CX race on Sunday I pinned the elastic band of my leg warmers to my bib shorts, one on the outside of each leg. It admirably kept them in place. Just grab a couple extra pins when you get your number. I suppose it would work with arm warmers, too. 

Yo, I'm looking for a "new sponsor" medium race fit jersey someone is willing to sell / part with (mine got ruined during my wreck in October).

My new team's kit won't be ready until February at the earliest and Texas racing starts mid-January ... so for at least the first month or two, I'll be racing for Kissena!

it's amazing when you get the kit selection just right.  last night i rode home in the rain, temp hovering around 40, bundled up in weatherproof stuff like the michelin man.  i did start to get some water in my right boot in the last 15 minutes, but up to that point I was like an invincible orb of warm dryness coasting through the cold wet.  really fun.

a baggy overpant that's 100% waterproof made the difference.  even with wind/waterproof tights, water would drip down into my boots and make my feet cold and wet.  the product that really made it work for me was a pair of these, http://www.competitivecyclist.com/gore-bike-wear-element-gore-tex-as-pant-mens, worn over my tights

my personal policy used to be if it's rainy and less than ~45 degrees, avoid riding. no more!

Why does my Garmin HRM strap smell like an old Band-Aid, and does anybody know how to get rid of that?
