Recco's for winter overshoes? Replacing my solid performer Pearl Izumi neoprene covers. Need something durable, Speedplay friendly, breathes a bit, and warm down to early 20s.

Btw, I have some bomb-proof, like-new Sidi hydro winter shoes (size 45) if anyone's interested, will trade for beer!

I don't like neoprene except in the rain.  My feet get too hot and then too cold.

I prefer something that is more like Gore Windstopper or Softshell.  Windproof and light insulation is what works best for me.  I have some Castelli booties made of the stuff, similar to their current Narcisista, but I'm sure Gore, Giro, Pearl, and others make something similar.  

not trying to thread hijack, but curious--why overshoes instead of boots like the ones you have?

they've worked well for me and are still in good shape after 3 winters. 

@brendan the Sidis are brilliant if you want warm dry feet down into the teens and they make suit-up quicker. I don't love the weight of the boot so much, but the problem is they're wrong size for me.

I have no design skills whatsoever, and I hate to impose more issues to the already frustrating Champsys ordering process, but I want to guage interest if there are some other folks who would like a limited selection of cross/gravel/bad weather jerseys in darker colors so you don’t have to spend so much time cleaning out after a muddy or gross racing day?

I like the white kit, but I have so many jerseys that are gray now because of playing in the dirt.

The reason is that the amount of work required for each even one jersey redeisgn is appalling.

Exactly. The works is 5% design, 95% working with ChampSys, to everyone's frustration.

Getting a new design through the CS process is a bit like...

A simple solution is to swap white for blue on existing anti-anti design...

Easily done Mark and makes sense to me. I was thinking it would be good for CX or crappy conditions whatever—kind of like Kissena's own Gabba. Although the way the weather is these days, don't we need a short sleeve for half the bloody CX season?

Nixed the band, looks weird on blue and another big area for mud stains.

Make it in Gabba-esque material, with reflective bits on the pockets, and we'll have an awesome crappy-weather top.  

Yes, these days, short sleeves for cross goes for the first half or more of the season.  

This looks great, but shouldn't it be a training jersey? That is, not a cx specific one.

Ideally, we race in the white as always, but can train in the blue. John is right, the hottest races every year are some September cyclocross craziness.
