I'm still on the fence with POC's aesthetics.  That written, it looks like it's well ventilated and probably pretty fast.  and ITS ORANGE.

I’m more on board and like the “quirkiness” of it. Had 2 ventral air in the past and the ventilation is great. Think the black inner looks a bit classier than the white on my current one.

Only issue I have with POC is their models are visually wider than other brands so wide heads like me are more likely to look like Toad from Nintendo.

I'm a fan of the Octals. They fit my head well, and let plenty of air in.

I don’t love the aesthetic , but I had said last time we went through a helmet switch that we should think about going back to poc , as they have a commitment to orange for safety and not fashion 
just a thought 

My kit (summer only) is ordered and I was long term looking at the new POC as an orange helmet, as someone with a basket ball head their large actually fits despite the mushrooming effect. 

The one thing I don't miss about my octal is the forehead tan lines.  The ventilation was amazing though.

I am a ventral air fan, just had to get a new one after cracking the last, but agreed on the toad look, it is unfortunate.  Their customer service was really great though and they gave me a nice discount for crash replacement within like 24 hours of showing proof.  30% off, and it wasn't specific to the helmet, so threw in a few other items

We haven't but we're currently pretty close to locking in designs with Verge to launch the pilot KCC shop in time for summer.

What are the preferred brands for orange/red(?) helmets, I have a basketball head and would like something aero. 

Kask Icon looks "slim" even in larger sizes and it seems to fit my wide but flat head best compared to Lazer, POC, Giro, Bell and Rudy Project helmets I've had in the past.

They stopped making fluoro orange, but they make the matte tangerine orange a few of us currently have:

Hey Kev we are so close to getting everything wrapped up with them - some additional proofs were needed for different kit styles. Once everything is done, the KCC shop will be open and we will be able to order kit at any time, not just during ordering windows.

Also be prepared - they're going to offer a discounted rate for the first week the shop is open to the club - I am 1000% planning to take advantage while I can.

Are there any "try on" clothes that Verge sends out or makes available?  Or might they have a guide that is 'if you fit L in Champ-Sys, it's an XL with Verge or some such?

Champ-Sys sizing, as probably with all suppliers, was a bit odd, but after all these years, we pretty much knew what to expect.  We also saw this during our brief interlude with LeCol.  

As an example, after getting one small skinsuit from champ-sys, I've been doing better with extra small skin suits.  Otherwise, I mostly do smalls from Champ-sys (though feel like I'm on the fence between small and extra small in their stretchy jerseys), save the winter jacket, which I sized up to medium.    

Verge is on this weekend, let's ask or even see if they have any of the leaders jerseys they'll let us try on.....

I have a few custom team verge items from friends who made jerseys and I think the fit is pretty close to Champ Sys. The material used in the jerseys I have is a bit more compliant than Champ Sys so it seems like they shoot to be ever so slightly smaller so that it stretches to the right fit and fits you nice and snug/aero

We just got back from NZ last night and I finally got to try on my last (pour one out?) Champsys order. The fit/kit was absolute hotness. Hoping the Verge kit is even better!

My track team recently switched to Verge and the standard sizing Medium fits me perfectly, while Champ Sys race fit M fits me pretty tight.

The bin shorts feel true to size and I like them a lot. Like with champ says the legs are a little short. I’m gonna try the long legs for a skinsuit.

Who has the stash of Kissena Water Bottles?

The caps on mine, which are probably two years old now, are starting to leak and the rubber is starting to break.

Like probably many of you, my skinsuit has a fair number of rips from safety pins.  It's getting harder to find a place to pin on numbers as a result.

Because of the above, I finally decided to try a product called Bib Boards (bibboards.com).  It's a two-piece plastic snap system where one piece goes through the number, the clothing and then pushed through the second part of the system.

They seem a bit pricey, something like $34 for three sets of four.  But then destroying clothing is even more expensive, and these could potentially last years.  My wife saw them post-race and immediately wanted to use them on a running top she's going to race in.  THey seem to have been designed by a runner and their promotions seem to be runner-first.

I got the clear model, where the outside part is a translucent plastic oval and it pushes into a white disc.  My thinking was that the clear would make it possible to pin over actual numbers withoout issue.

Pretty sure Pat used those last week, looks intriguing...
