I have this cap , that is old , I don’t wear it
needs a wash but will gladly give away
I would gladly take this off your hands

Promised to Dave V ,
Does anyone know where the size chart for the champion system legwarmers are? Does anyone have any experience with them?

I really like their arm warmers, but most legwarmers from other companies keep falling down my legs.
i order size small, your mileage will vary, when it matters pin the leg warmers to your shorts — socks go over obvs

HOW DO YOU TAKE THEM OFF?!
Leg warmers go under bibs and over socks, obviously. :)

The grippers on the CS leg warmers are pretty good, I have never noticed them slipping down my legs.

This is incorrect:

This portion however is correct:

Thanks.
Posting mostly for @GregHoge on the most important of important topics: SOCKS

3 Types:

- Type 1 Summer:
For normal summer riding there are many brands that are very good, but I mostly recommend Sublime Heroics. https://www.sublimeheroics.com/ -- Full transparency, these socks are designed and made by my friend, and former Brooklyner, Kim Granlund. I easily have more than 10 pairs.

- Type 2 Fall/Light Winter 50s°F to 35ish°F
Skinny merino wool socks from Rapha -- These fit just like summer socks, but are a little warmer, and don't get cold when wet -- I own 4 pairs of these.

Type 3 Winter Cold or crazy town rain/snow. Below 45°F depending on conditions.
Thick wool socks from Rapha -- These are thick and will fight wet or cold way longer than most, they are super comfy. Their thickness will affect your stack height (i.e. your foot will sit slightly higher than usual) but that's usually welcomed on the tough days you'll use these. I own 2 pairs of these.

Hope this helps.
@LucasAtayde about socks ;)
I got a Champ-Sys Apex Summer Jersey last year.  It's really meshy and stretchy and light.  I've been enjoying it on the hot days.  As my son pointed out, the pattern is "very MCU."  I feel like a super-hero in it.

But then, my rides in it have never been longer than three hours.

Turns out, my back needed a bit more protection today.  nearly eight outdoors is pretty long.  .  Should have applied sunscreen.  As a result, I'm applying aloe.

Next time, I'll be better prepared.

Got a kit question: I don’t like how the collar stands up on my white new member jersey that I use for racing. Is there another jersey (not skinsuit) model that has an aero collar, like a collar that’s either close to non existent or not there at all?

Also, I’m selling some used Kissena gear cheap. I just want it to go to a good home: https://forum-archive.kissenacycling.com/discussion/20-p124.html#Comment_124083
Dave, you should be able to spec out a "half collar" option on Tech and Performance jersey lines during the order process. I believe the Apex line has a low collar height as it's only option. I'm with you, on my older kit before they offered the option I used to unzip the tall collars and fold them inward like a reverse dress shirt.

Does anyone know if the apex and performances winter bibs have much of a difference in level of warmth?
I doubt it, but if it means anything pretty sure I've been using the regular tech or performance fleece stuff forever and they've been good and long lasting.

Ok sweet. That was my assumption, thanks!
Hey folks, ex-KCC Nate Picard-Busky is moving and found a cache of unused old-sponsor KCC kit in his closet.

Everything below is men's sized Medium/Race Cut. Easiest if you take the whole lot off his hands - $100 takes it. DM or slack me.

LS Donut Jersey
LS Navy Jersey
LS MTB Jersey
SS White Jersey x2
White Wind Vest
White Wind Jacket
Navy Winter Jacket
Navy Winter Bib Tights

Nate lives in my neighborhood.  I'd love one or two pieces (maybe just the winter jacket), but am happy to take the lot and then divvy it up.
on that same note, i realized that i never had my slack notifs on and just missed the kit order as I joined right as the deadline was approaching. anyone got medium bibs (short or long) and some small jerseys (medium in jacket probably) that I can buy secondhand?
JP I let Nate know.

Eric, working on finding some kit for you!

I picked up the lot of used Kissena threads from Nate.  Everything is a medium.

The long sleeve jerseys are a light material, closer to a standard short sleeve jersey.  The MTB jersey is V-necked and no pockets.

He also left a colorful short sleeve jersey with mesh sleeves, size small, and a small full-zip Sugoi sleeveless jersey.  Both are free.

Happy to make arrangements to get this Kissena kit back into circulation.  Feel freel to ping me privately, off list, whatever.
Random kit endorsement: I was debating whether to wear a rain cape yesterday on my ride out to meet Lennart and Max on their journey from Montauk and glad I did. It was just barely drizzling when I started off but it started to really come down with a headwind coming from the northeast. I just recently got a Castelli emergency 2 jacket in retina searing neon orange and yesterday was a great first test for it. Took just enough edge off the cold rain and wind to keep me warm without turning into a sauna underneath. It was a fine line though - when I stopped to wait for them at a train station I felt the cold. It really is meant just as a lightweight shell to go over proper kit. At home I checked for water ingress and confirmed my shoulders were dry which usually means any jersey dampness is from sweat rather than rain. We'll have to see how the waterproofing holds up.

I wish it had a dry phone/food stash pocket since digging into jersey pockets underneath the jacket is a pain especially without a two way zipper or a pass through flap.

The short sleeve jerseys can be used on the trainer, as a base layer, or as your rainy/muddy kit.

The wind vest and jacket are great for temperature shifts, particularly on spring/fall days.  FWIW, Saturday was warm enough that the vest was my 'rain' layer.
I’ll take the wind vest!

What's the latest sock wisdom? I've been partial to Handlebar Mustache orange socks but they're always out of stock.
We created an orange KCC sock in the last kit order.  They're 🔥🔥.
NO TO THE KCC ORANGE SOCKS.
YES TO THE WHITE KCC SOCKS.
ALL CAPS REQUIRED.
99% of what I ride now is gravel. Not sure white is gonna work for me ;)
