Is there a dedicated photographer for this task?

@Daniella If you know of some wonderful soul who would be willing to donate their talents, please let us know! I know there are Kissenas out there with fancy cameras (myself included) and I have access to a light kit, but if you know a pro, that would be so... pro!
I will ask! I do know a pro who likes to shoot athletes as a personal
project.

Are you thinking the 16th as a staring point?

If not, I could do it with my boyfiend if we can borrow a decent camera.

I shot a note to DGG.

Team,

Looking forward to leading the CP clinic on the 16th. As we think about time, while this is not exclusively a women's team event (although the photo shoot naturally is), as a group you've expressed great interest and enthusiasm so I'm going to give you first crack at deciding what time we kick this off.

Normally I'd suggest 8am (not too early, not too late?), but I noticed that the first L&C event is on the 16th and was wondering if we should do it later to allow for the KCC racers planning to race in PP time to "turn-n-burn" and get to CP?

We get more crowds in CP that time of day, but this is not a training ride type event so navigating more crowded roads might not be that much of an issue.

(Also, one thing experience has taught me on doing these "ride-through" clinics is that it is difficult to talk to a whole group and ride at the same time to make sure everyone gets the info. And it's a 10k loop...anyway, be sure to have the right amount of clothing for frequent stops and starts.)

Let me know what you think about the time. Thanks!
@Marc, maybe I'm reading the calendar wrong (I'm looking at the shared
calendar), but it looks like the first L&C race is on the 15th? Correct me
if I'm wrong. Otherwise, 8am would definitely work. The earlier the better
in CP to avoid annoying traffic and runaway strollers.

If we need to do it later, what time do you think is best for the clinic?

Looking forward to it!

Later works for me. Don't want to deprive anyone racing L&C the opportunity to attend this clinic. (Are you racing @Marc?)

If anyone gets antsy rolling slow and stopping for 10k, I'm happy to lead a CPx3 "race" ride after the clinic where we can put our new knowledge and skills to use.

There are several computrainer slots open on Monday at 8:30am at RB if anybody wants to come for a training session.

Should be like 4 spots
Hi Team. My friend Robert Wright would love to shoot us. In pp or cp. he is racing the Nyc Half marathon on the 16th, so that day is out for him. His work is here: www.robertwrightphoto.com Here is a link of runners he's done: http://www.robertwrightphoto.com/ssp_director/m/?album=7e65d1dc16b4d7533d47fc91f6c9e7bd31&back=0&info=1&sharpening=1 He is a runner and cycles too. He will do it free of charge. He loves shooting athletes so it's a win win for all of us : )
2 ladies confirmed for Monday at 8:30am at RB

can I get 2 more to join us?
I would love to join!
Hi gals. I just posted a note about a photographer for us section. Daniella Shachter | Makeup Artist www.makeupwithdani.com fb: makeupwithdani On Feb 15, 2014 4:41 PM, "Jessica Schpero" <
OK, we need to cap it at 3 extras for Monday. Done! Awesome!

Hi Jessica. Was I included in the confirmed for Monday ?

Yes, confirmed. Hopefully, the people who reserved it won't show and the spot will be open for you. There's always a chance that the person who reserved it could show (so no open spot) but if they don't it's a good opportunity to get on a trainer since there's a make-up session happening at that time

Holy crap, I'm behind on the forum. 2013 and 2014 kit is absolutely mixable. Ros would second that, I'm sure. In fact, this first order of kit will still have the KCC50 badge.

If on the off chance our kit gets delayed or something like that, I have a very small amount of women's bibs and jerseys in stock. They're meant for new members to be able to race in kit, but it's flexible right now as we have another order opening in March.

PM me for availability. You'd pay Dave directly and get the pieces from me.
You should specify which Dave considering there are 50 of us.

Deathmatch!

(sorry, wrong thread)
@Marc, about the CP clinic on the 16th - the NYC half marathon is also in the park on the 16th and starts at 7:30am. The runners will probably not exit the park until 9am and then cleanup. I knew that date was familiar, cause I'm also doing the half. Might be a little crazy in the park that morning.

Oh, man, thanks for that head's up. This makes me grumbly...

Okay what do you all think? Move it to the 15th or deal with the crowds? As mentioned before there's going to be a lot of stopping and starting, so not so much important that we have a free and clear path to shoot through. But still, NYRR events are massive.
And this is the most massive race that occurs in CP outside of the marathon!

How's the lawsuit over last year's crash going?

If you are interested, read back on the Redhook thread. Lots of stuff there. And yes, the RHC is probably not the place to begin your fixed gear racing career.

The crowds are huge and the crashes... Plenty. It's a great place to spectate, not really suitable for learning though.

It'll be interesting to see how or if Trimble alters the course this year.
Let's move this to RHC thread, yeah?
